it's not just the 360. it's every console. and no i don't hate the 360, nor do i hate every console. but the game was designed around consoles. and i hate that.

i didn't say this game will be bad. i said the team fortress gameplay will be ruined. you want another shooter like every other shooter out there today? okay tf2 will be great.

you want a shooter with crazy physics and obvious differences in player skill (tfc gameplay), then yeah the gameplay is ruined.

I used to play a lot, was Narco515, and got into CiaB when they were in the top 10 still.

Wait so is Portals going to 360 too? "Regular" FPS games are hard enough to control with your thumbs, how on earth is anyone going to manage the crazy insanity that is Portals gameplay?

I've always had a hard-on for Valve but fuck, they keep out-doing themselves. Deciding to take Team Fortress in this direction and then actually pulling off the style and humor 100% is fucking epic.

This launching with Portal and Episode 2 is more exciting than most console launches. I'm like a giddy little schoolgirl. Here's a tech video about the art and rendering style also if you're interested:

This just popped into my head after reading about how TF2 will be on consoles, and it has me a bit worried. Rocket Jumping. Think about that for a second....... with a controller? Theres no way it can really be done without... dun dun dun... an auto-rocketjump button! On that soldier, it lists the special move of the soldier as rocketjump. RJing was never a "special move" of the soldier, it was an unintended side effect of the rockets. Does this mean that noone else will be able to conc jump? Gren jump?

From this, im getting the feeling that rocket jumping as we know it may not be supported. Its only there "conceptually" as an alternate ability. Can it be altered for distance? For height? Who knows.

I admit its a bit early, as noone has really played it yet, but this thought, in addition to no grenades, has me a bit worried.

I remember playing QWTF back in the day. Putzing around as a sniper/scout/medic on random servers. Well, Canal, Aztec, 2fort5, and the prison were so awesome.

I'm pretty sure people with skill will still be better than the rest, rockets will still be capable of hitting airborne targets, and grenades will continue to bounce of walls... albeit, less people throwing them.

You do know that there are no grenades in TF2 besides the one's that the Demoman shoots out of his gun? There's not going to be "less" people throwing them, there's going to be "no one" throwing them.
