You aren't cool unless you can look at that picture and identify every class without having to look up a class listing.

Man talk about a complete 180 on game design ;p Although now that it's not realistic, they can at least focus on fun game design.

does anyone have the updates for HL2 that make it stop crashing virtually endlessly.

I get the crash issue online...it will start loading a server, then hang forever. If I'm fortunate, I can windows key and shut it off on the taskbar. If not, I have to reset the comp.

Well TF2/Source or whatever is clearly a "new" game rather than the TF2 that was touted as being in production all those years ago.

Makes me curious as to how far along they got with the original TF2 and how different this new version is.

And like alot of others, TFC was first online game I played...nothing beats being the spy and knifing an entire row of snipers on the 2Fort balcony

I imagine they stopped work on regular TF2 the moment BF1942 came out...especially the desert combat mod.

TF2's approach originally of having tanks and whatnot was pretty revolutionary at the time, but the BF series beat them to the punch, which took alot of the potential wind out of their sails.

Damn, I gotta say I really love the way that looks. To me, it looks like they are really sticking to TF roots and thats just the way I want it. Its like Team Fortress: The Wind Waker!

RJing, BHing and all combo's of gren jumping are what made the game what it was. It's what made it so skillfull and I wouldnt have it any other way. I hope that since they are going with a more cartoony look, they keep all the unrealistic stuff intact. My only worry is that it isnt its own game, its just a multiplayer mode attached to Ep2. So i'm afraid it wont be too in depth.

Awesome movie of original QWTF stuff. About 3/4 of the way through is the most amazing flag grab I have ever seen.

I agree. I think it's look (hopefully)means that the gameplay will be just as fun and unrealistic as the original. Looking forward to it.

my crash issue is in single player. They are mem errors. It's quite gay.

I thought that too...they're coming out with Ep2, TF2 and "Portals," which to me says this isn't a real game enough to warrant it's own release, which is a shame.

Anyone know how it works for those of us who don't have HL2? I got the warezed version, thought it was a shitty, short rail-shooter and never went back. Do I have to buy the full version of HL2 just to get Ep 2 and subsequently TF2?

As far as I know, Ep 1 was a standalone release, so I don't expect them to make you get HL2 to play Ep 2.

Man I cannot wait for this to be released. Almost tempted to say "Screw you WoW I'm playin TF2!!"

Loved tfc so much and tribes was a kind of bastardization of TFC so I played that for a while, but I seriously hope this hits the stands. I NEED YOU TFC!!
