Assassin's Creed Hands-on at Gamespot

http://www.gamespot.com/e3/e3story.h...586&pid=930022

This write-up is a true testament to why I will be getting a PS3. I remember Nintendo talking about how graphics aren't important anymore, and gameplay is king. That may be true; however, it just isn't about graphics on the PS3. It's about the general realism of the experience: people reacting to what you do, interactions with the environment, realistic shadows, and fluid animations all at HD resolutions will enhance immersion and bring it to the next level. From this write-up, I can only imagine the level of detail possible in MGS4. I think the sky is the limit with the PS3. Many of the games all ready look and feel beautiful, and the system hasn't been released yet. Four years after the release, companies will still see new ways to effectively utilize all the cores on the cell processor.

Trailer looks really sweet. It kind of looks like God of War meets Thief.

The lore has been leaked allready! there

Jokes put aside, it looks pretty sweet and it's cool that they are trying to do better things with NPC perception and interaction and with the character's animation. It sounds silly, but playing a character who can adjust his movement to his surroundings in a logical way would be something next gen (that's something that allready crossed my mind when playing Fatal Frame 3: The main character would walk through a curtain without pushing it away with her arm).

I thought that producer was a booth babe till she started talking. Then I thought she was in sales. Then I saw her nametag.
