| Shit this game has autumn trees the same colour as in two WoW zones, I can just about cope with that I guess since WoW's speciality is green trees. But if this game has any green trees... totally not buying it that's plagerism. Same goes for the dungeons if they have any more WoWequse square corners. Shit this is just like the time I stopped buying Nintendo games because they kept using similar looking giant mushrooms in all their platform games.

| I don't see what the issue with the colors we've seen in D3 so far, the Diablo series wasn't "dark and dreary" from what I remember. It had area's in the gameworld that were "dead" looking for sure, and it certainly had a gothic / bloody (impaled bodies, bloody pools from corpses, etc.) nature to it. The game I am seeing from the vids look great, and perfectly inline with my experience of Diablo...and we've only seen a small part of a couple area's so far. No need to get so worked up about the color scheme. ;p |

| What's funny is that there are thousands of rabid fanboys signing petitions for Blizz to change the color scheme. The game isn't even close to being released. Chill out, people. |

+15 Internets | Thing with art direction is that it's not like a lot of game variables that can be 'rebalanced' easily. Yeah, you can change the texture to make it darker, but if you have any hope at seeing the game change, you need to raise hell ASAP. |

+21 Internets | I personally like the art direction, but I also liked WoW with the color schemes in the different zone. Gave each area its own personality, kinda like the movie "Hero" color schemes for dif point of views. It can really set the mood, besides the limbs and blood flying everywhere looks badass. I got the same feeling when I first saw Myth II in action. CASUALTY! and dwarf limbs roll down the hills, shields and weapons slide.

+3 Internets | I think the current art direction provides more contrast than some of the proposed approaches of making everything dark and gritty. The image with the "how it is, and how it should be" works for the dungeons, but the overland version goes over the top. If every square feet of land was a barren desolate wasteland of gloom & doom then much of the D3 story becomes pointless. What exactly are we saving? Sanctuary is not inherently an evil place. That they've allowed themselves to represent some of this shows growth in my opinion. From the Journal, lore and comments made so far they're hinting at Sanctuary being a complete world, that is now beset by horrors. The contrast of a lush countryside and the vile scourge of undeath is part of this narration in my opinion. The last 20 years have been a respite from what we experienced in D2. I think they're aiming to show us the corruption and decay as we progress through the game.

| A Draenei Hunter with a Zergling pet, you mean. Get it right. ![]() On topic, they should put in Class Change features. For instance, Witch Doctor could upgrade to something like "Voodoo Priest" which has some kickass curse/plague like things, or possibly "Elder Shaman" which specializes more in elemental magic. Either that or secret classes like Angel. You know you want to be a Diablo-style Angel. Last edited by Nehrak : 07-01-2008 at 05:54 PM. |

| The guy who made the petition posted the comments here http://www.freewebs.com/ultramegazord/comments.html Not looking so good when over 50% of the petitions are large gaps of blank comments. I think it's pretty dumb and the guy is overreacting. |

| I found my LoD but couldn't find D2, I found D1 but held out on it because I figured it would be too dated to enjoy. I might actually install it, it doesn't look intolerable.
