| Yeah, I played it windowed a few weeks ago. It works, but it's so small on my 22" widescreen. I wound up finishing most of it in blurr-o-vision.

+21 Internets | If you have NVidia card use the "fixed aspect ratio" option on it and you will get black bars on the left and right in full screen mode and still play it in 800X600. Makes it less ugly if you don't like windowed mode.

| Yea Right click the icon, go to properties. In the target line, type -w at the end after the quotations. You may also need to add -800 after that too, not completely sure.

| I have to admit that I got the bug to play again. Windowed mode is to small for me so I dinked around and found settings that work. For those of you that have a widescreen LCD like me, instead of playing in windowed mode or playing with the image stretched out, look in your monitor settings to see if it has a video scaling option. I set mine from the wide setting to the 1:1 aspect and it put the game in the center of my screen in a 800 by 600 box. I changed it to zoom and it enlarged it to fit the screen but it kept the aspect ratio and didn't stretch it out. It makes a world of difference. As far as D3 goes, from what I've seen so far, it looks like they are going in the right direction in terms of game play but I agree with some of the other people in that the art needs to be looked at again. I watched the high res video a few times and I can't shake the feeling that I'm playing world of diablo. Arguments aside about the first two games and the art direction they took, I expect a different look from a game who's characters descend into the depths of hell. Granted, we haven't seen much of anything yet but I really think that they should listen to their fan base on this one. Last edited by Drant : 06-30-2008 at 09:40 PM. |

They scream WoW and dont belong in D3 and its been obvious to anyone that watched it. Everything is passable except the trees. Looks like someone just cut and pasted some tree textures from WoW.

Diablo is a near perfect product as it is. If all they did was slap on smoe new graphcis and freshen up the existing classes then slap on a title called Diablo 2.5 LoD Returns I would be a happy man. There's a mod out there for D2 called morning tide or ever morning or after dawn......something like that. They could just copy it with new graphics and I'd be hooked. As far as D3 goes don't fix what isn't broken. So if they want to copy 90% of what made Diablo 2, Diablo 2 then I'm all for it.

| Pride Never Die | I agree with alot of people wowifying the graphics is a no-no for this series and I'm disappointed Blizzard went this route and they need to change it(doubt it'll happen though). I can't wait for it to come out though! I wonder if the new MMO will be an entirely new IP.

| Didn't you know? WoW not only invented MMOs, orcs, elves, magic and fantasy but it also invented trees!

| same for me. better graphics, new story and quests, tons more items, new variety of abilities...put all that on a variation of d2 game play and it's hard to not be a success. it's diablo 3, not deer hunter 3. so it will probably be similar to the diablo series since it's part of the diablo series. some moron too scared to post in the thread demonstrates his genius: Quote:

+21 Internets | I would like the abilitiy to fine tune skills this time around. Like in D2 for more dmg you would put more points into the ability. Example for D3 would be zombie walls you can either give it more HP or more damage. Fear longer effect or larger AoE. Whirlwind give it an elemental damage or make it also stun. Skill trees are still pretty sweet but would like to see what blizzard comes up with this time.

It also made low level skills not useless filler that you put one point in and then saved the rest until level 24/30. Hopefully they expand on that idea.
