I doubt they have any cinematics done at this point for the actual game.

I hope they get hit with some heavy negative feedback on those Advent Children characters they think they are going to use in the cutscenes to tell the story.

The game itself looks great, but those style of graphics for the cutscene will rip you right out of the immersion of the D universe.

I never really got into Diablo. I bought D2 collectors edition when it came out, got to the desert level, got bored, and went back to RTS/MMOs/FPS. I dunno...they basically evoke the "Gauntlet" vibe in me, which even back in teh 80s I never really liked too much. Especially when some ass took the elf at the arcade ;(

The game does look pretty....that boss fight at the end where he grabbed one of the players, ate the top half of his body, and had the bloody gibs hanging from his maw for the rest of the fight was a very nice touch.

The game looks like it's going to be total fanservice, though. I agree there.

Out of the journal for the Old Tristram Cathedral, we get a bit about a bloated thing, with bodies everywhere. The motherfucking Butcher is back. Kick ass.

You need to punch in a birth date for some reason, I guess the Lineage 2 models are for mature audiences only.

Firefox screws up plugins often. Just use internet explorer for it.

Fucking great. WoW, SC2 and D3 will be sucking up all of my life now.

Loved the gameplay by the way. The music is awesome.

Dont watch the intro cinematic with a drink in your mouth then. Actually don't watch it at all, it really has nothing to even do with Diablo.

Nothing in D1/D2/SC1 was revolutionary, at all..Yet they were all "genre" defining games.
Yeah it's not like Diablo created the whole action RPG sub-genre, or SC was the first RTS to have 3 totally distinct races. Every game back in the 90's also had a free integrated online gaming service. Fucking dumbass.

Not going to get in yet another argument with you but ActivisionBlizzard will be an entirely separate company when all is said and done. Vivendi will be a majority shareholder but Activision will also hold anywhere between 48-32% of shares, and large chunks of both Vivendi and Activision's shares will then be sold off in an IPO (under ATVI on NASDAQ.)

ActivisionBlizzard will be it's own company with it's own board of directors and answerable to it's shareholders like any other publicly traded company. Vivendi will likely retain a controlling stake in the company but won't even be close to sole owners after the IPO.

Exactly. SC and Diablo were absolutely revolutionary when they came out. D3 won't be. It's still going to be amazing but there's a lot more competition these days.

Oh man, I'm so happy to hear this news.

I cannot imagine that summoner necromancers being anywhere similar to Diablo 2 with all those skeleton armies. The other two specs should be able to fit in reasonably good.

I do know that Diablo 3 will be a game of it's own drawing the lore from previous Diablo games, but I would still generally expect some skills to be somewhat similar.
