Best games on gamecube?

Just picked up a gamecube on the cheap mainly for a few specific games. What i've got so far is

Zelda: Wind Waker,
Mario Kart: Double Dash,
Metroid Prime 1 & 2

Any other classics out there? I'd definately like a fighting game, maybe soul caliber 2.

SSB is pretty damned fun. I can play that with my kid all day long.

Resident Evil 4, if you've not played it. Good christ is that game classic!

If you like wind waker, you'd probably also like Mario Sunshine. It's a silly concept for a mario platformer, but the controls are *very* tight and it has some pretty fun gameplay.

Super Smash Bros. Melee... I hated it, but I'm a diehard old school SSB64 fan. I'm also the only person I know who doesn't like the game.

I hear Pikmin 1/2 is pretty interesting, but I've not played it.

I'll second Resident Evil 4. Best game on the gamecube period. Pikmin is also an excellent game. Since 1&2 are essientally the same thing, I would recommend 2 as its a much better and longer version of the 2. Viewtiful Joe is an awesome game and very challenging. Killer 7 is pretty sweet, but I recommend reading a review of it first to see if you would like it. My final recommendation would be F-Zero GT. Its a much better racing game than Mario Kart Double Dash.

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes if you never played it on Playstation I guess (or if you want to play it again with the MGS2 gameplay)...

Killer 7 if you like gaming UFO that break all taboos and all you think you knew about how a game looks like and is played.

paper mario: 1000 year door = solid rpg with a lot of humor, plays similiar to marioRPG for snes. actually one of the better rpg's ive played lately.

mario golf = good balance in arcade style versus realism, with some twists thrown in. pretty much all the mario sports games are "arcadish" versions of their sport.

viewtiful joe is supposed to be decent, and probly in the $10 bin now.

Tales of Symphonia is a great anime-rpg. Good to hear you have both metroids, those would have been my big recommendations.

Problem is, none of these titles are getting me that excited. I think I got all the ones I was drooling about straight away.

I'm definately going to get;
Pikmin
Metal Gear Solid
Resident Evil 4
