| Best Console RPGs I'm going through and replaying a whole buttload of console RPGs from the past 20 years or so and wanted some suggestions of ones to hit. The usual suspects are already included, but what about some of the less mainstream, more obscure ones, like the Lufia series? And what about some of the older, harder, more frustrating ones, like the original Phantasy Star? What about some of the translated emulator ports like Star Ocean and Seiken Densetsu 3? |

| I'll save you from listing the obvious. One awesome RPG that not many people know about is a game called "EVO". You start out as a fish in the water, and gain experience when you kill things, then you "evolve" or buy upgrades and slowly evolve into a human. It's pretty insanely awesome and the coolest form of progression I've ever seen. Evolving from fish to amphibian, to dinosaur, to bull, to a lion, etc etc. Awesome shit. It was released on Super Nintendo, I'm sure you can find the rom somewhere. |

+54 Internets | Instead of making a new thread, has anyone played/ purchased Final Fantasy Origins? I loved the original on the NES when I was...what...10? A full party of kung-fu badasses and one white mage made the world burn...BURN. Yes...no?

| I'm in love with Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2. (I have it for GameCube) I don't play it online because I don't have the $40 adapter and don't want to pay for it and EverQuest at the same time, but the offline multiplayer has kept me and my buds busy for a long time when we take breaks from Mario Kart: DD, Halo 1/2, Smash, and Mario Baseball. Probably a lot of Sega haters out there but I do believe this is one of their few franchises that's not a total fuck-up. I'm stoked for Phantasy Star Universe this Fall. |

+3 Internets | I played Lufia II, and it was pretty fun. Not omgfapawesome like the more famous games (Final Fantasies, Chrono Trigger, etc.) but it was a good RPG. I remember the puzzles being particularly enjoyable, although sometimes a bit difficult. This is back when I was like 12, though. |
