+2 Internets | Free mmorpg's So, I'm poor and don't have a lot of time to spend online. I'm looking for an mmo that's completely free, doesn't suck and can work on a laptop that doesn't have a graphix card. Does such a thing exist?

+9 Internets | Try that and let me know if it's any good because I meant to try it and have yet to.

+2 Internets | Thanks for the suggestion. I played it before and was pretty underwhelmed. The combat was pretty gay and you could play for free, but if you wanted to actually go to any respectable level in the game you had to pay cash for it. I got a character up a few levels and just got bored with it. I'd rather play kingdom of loathing (which I'm now bored with).

| I hate to keep shamelessly plugging VQuest, the game I'm really into at the moment, but it's just that fun. It's an EverQuest-like experience using the Warcraft III engine. All you need is Warcraft III, and you can download the map and play it with people on Battle.Net. More info at: http://vquest.eqvault.ign.com Obviously, this game is no more graphics-intensive than Warcraft III would be. So if your laptop can run WC3, it can run VQuest without a problem. The great thing about this game is that its creator is an avid EQ fan, and he has an abiding interest in continuing work on this game. Most WC3 mapmakers kind of create a map, and then leave it to fend for itself over the ages. Not so with VQuest. This map/game is constantly updated, balanced, tuned, etc. And while VQ can be very time-intensive in certain instances (the game features "epic quests" that are every bit as time-consuming as their EQ counterparts were back in the day), it is much less so than your average MMORPG. For the most part, you can pick up and play this game whenever you feel like it -- and not feel "left behind" for taking a more casual approach. |

| I usually plug Lineage 2 free servers because it's a fun distraction for a week or 2. But this time I'm promoting Maple Story... + hacks. The game is a mega boring ass grind fest, but it has so many fucking hacks. The best part is that the community consists mainly of 8-12 year olds who are too retarded to hack, so there still is a very small amount of hackers. Not only that, but if you botted overnight for a couple weeks, you could ebay your character for around $300-500. Not bad. www.mapleglobal.com for the game. www.m-secrets.com for the hax. Unless you're against hacking or something... |

| Addictive turn based game. You 'dual' one other person on a chessboard looking map. http://digisonline.com/tactics/ Really fun turn based 2D game. http://www.wesnoth.org/ Addictive turn based web browser game. I know tons of people play it, I got bored after a week or two though. http://www.battleon.com/ Amazing game, has some really neat concepts and features. It's not multiplayer though. http://www.taleworlds.com/ Free "tactics" MMO. You have to buy expansions if you want to open up certain continents and stuff though. It held my interest for a week or two, has a few problems I didn't feel like dealing with, such as the shitty grouping system. Interesting anyways though. http://www.dofus.com/

+9 Internets | Anyone tried this Face of Mankind game? I think I heard the name before so it was prolly around here. Atfirst glance it seems pretty neat.
