I don't know, using the iron sights is begging to be shot. Maybe it's because I'm used to CoD's iron sights and how it transitions flawlessly. The transition between standard and iron sights in DoD:S is so slugish and lifeless, it's like putting a 2 second neon sign over you saying "Shoot me!" Not to mention it gimps your mobility pretty bad.

Iron sights on rifles means...? Do they get no crosshair and have to zoom now or what? Not that I'm complaining, rifles in DoD were gay as shit, who needs a sniper with the grenadier rifle around.

Some weapons, like the kar and garand have ironsights (on right click).

They still have the configurable crosshairs.

The grenadier rifles rock though.. hitting snipers hiding in a building on the other side of a plaza rocks

Basically you look down the weapon through it's sights, making it more accurate but fucking your mobility in the process. You also get a partial zoom. Making you more of a halfass sniper.

Ok well i broke down and bought it. Normaly I play assault class of some kind. However I just love the Machine Gun class. Something about finding just the right spot to setup and lie in wait for the enemy to come around the corner is just very appealing right now. I really like when the enemy rolls out some smoke and i just lay bullets in it until they all dead. Sometimes I pause like I am reloading or something and then fire it up again. The german MG has more ammo per box but can overheat. Not normaly A camper at all but these maps kinda force you to.

It's not really forcing you to camp, it's just a pretty realistic simulation of how one fights combat - you really need to use your support and machinegun to lay down constant fire at the enemy while your assault, rocket, and riflemen go around / advance to take them out
