| Fable PC Seems like a good enough game, but I can't bring myself to play it. The keyboard/mouse setup and camera just make me fucking sick. If it would work like WoW or something then I could get by. Is there any way at all to make this damn thing work with a controller? I'd be thrilled with something as simple as making the camera fix on the arrow key turning instead of having to constantly adjust my mouse position. Gonna suck to skip a potentially good game just because of some fucked up controls. |

| I found it much easier to change the camera to No Follow (or something). This setting on default makes the camera whip back to the center, even if you're still holding the mouse button. Off, the camera stays where you put it. For me it worked much much better this way. The game is decidedly gay though, and I mean that in a strictly derogatory way. The story is stupid. Example: the fact that you never speak through the whole thing.....ya, great way to make me feel like I AM the character, not having me say a fucking word over the COURSE OF MY LIFE. Character development is non existant. I'm not ruining anything here, but towards the end, you go to talk to a hero named Scythe who's supposed to be pretty bad-ass, he's like defending this certain town from vicious monsters. Course you've never even heard of the guy before hand, and you never see him fight; all he does is yap, like every other character in the game. I just beat it about 6 hours ago and my final game time was 9:22. I kept feeling like there was more to find, but everything is laid out right in front of you from the very beginning. I mean, the highest armor in the game (that I found) was just boring-ass plate armor. Sure, it was "Dark" so I got to look demonic, but I had seen it in the store like 2 hours into the game; this shouldn't be the shit I conquer the world in. You get a fancy helmet later, but that's not that special. Same goes for skills: there are absolutely no surprises here, what you see is what you get. I thought for sure that there would be some old hermit who'd teach me how to be uber, but NOOOO. Everytime you want to get stronger you go stand on a green circle and click "Buy." Woot. In conclusion, it's worth a download, but not a purchase. Now, if they could combine the badassedness of Gothic 1 and 2 with certain aspects of Fable (I kinda dig the cartoony, WoW-esque art where hands are as big as heads) and maybe add dual-wielding, I'd be one happy little puppy. |

| I was under the assumption that "The Lost Chapters" was suppose to be longer and have more to do in it then the Xbox version. I know in the Xbox version you can run through the main quest and be done with the game in like 10 hours. However I have friends that had like 30+ invested into it just playing around with side quest and things. So jabber did you do everything there was to do? I personally havnt played it yet going to pick it up tomorrow. Is it really just THAT short or is it like FF games? You can beat FFX in like 15 hours or something... or have over 100+ if you do EVERYTHING there is to do. Of course knowing gaming companies Microsofts idea of "extended content" means instead of beating the game in 8 hours you do it in 9. |

+4 Internets | It's yet another Molyneux game that was originally so high-concept that the execution fell flat on it's face, and in the end left behind a mediocre roleplaying game with high production values. I wish that guy would get back to, you know, making good games. Syndicate 2 please! |

+4 Internets | My fave was using that mind control thing and getting a crowd of about 50 innocent bystanders under my control, and getting them to pick up a shitload of pistols and uzis and shit. Then you go find your target, whether it was other agents or whatever, and just have the mass of unarmored pussies attack, half of them get whiped out but 50 people with pistols pack a lot of punch. Damn that game was fun. |

Also, I got a much greater sense of being good and evil playing through KOTOR2 than here in Fable. I went evil here in Fable and it really felt shallow. At one point I decided to kill everyone in Oakvale (the town you're from) and all that happened was every building went up for sale and I was stuck with infinitely spawning guards. I don't think any main character ever mentioned how evil I was until the end, right before I chose the option to kill them, thus triggering a "OMG ur so evil" comment. No one really seemed to mind that I'd kill random people as I was growing up; no one besides the guards at least. | |

| owch, only 2 more hours off of Lost Chapters eh. Lame. I was the master of multi-cut an extreme physical power. Most anything died under a single brutal Omnislash assault...I can't imagine fable taking more than 10 hours even with sidequests. Unless you take the hardest boasts. "I'LL DO THIS NAKED, WITH MY FISTS, AND I'LL DECAPITATE THEIR LEADER LOL!" I could never figure out how to decapitate people. I only did it once, and that was by accident. Good and evil was pretty shallow in Fable. The choices have been getting less and less...well, interesting feeling. Although it was funny you could just walk into town and have literally every chick in the place cream her panties and immediately wat to marry you as a good guy in shiny armor. edit: i was sleepy and didn't realize i wrote something nonsensical in the first sentence.
