+5 Internets | Played it this weekend with 3 other people. First off, a quick "Fuck You" to Sony for making you buy an adapter to actually be able to have 4 players. I should have bought the GameCube version. :/ So far, it rocks. You can have your characters auto-level and auto-equip items you get, which can cut a lot of the "downtime" you had in the first game. I don't know how efficient it is at auto-leveling, but the auto-equip thing seems to work pretty well. So far, I've also not seen any areas where you have to play solo while everyone else watches, which was a big complaint of the first one. There is a new feature that you unlock pretty early where you can warp back to base (think Town Portal) whenever you want, though it is on a 5 minute timer (no big deal.) There is also difficulty settings now. We started off on Easy since we had 2 new X-Men players and it was way too easy. Unless you are playing with complete and utter greens, I'd suggest starting on at least Medium, if not Hard. The playable characters I've seen so far are : Juggernaut (<3), Jean Grey, Wolverine, Magneto, Bishop, Iceman, Storm, Colossus, Toad, some Fire Guy, Scarlet Witch, Gambit and I think Rogue. There are also 4-5 slots marked as "?". 2 Unlockables that I know of are Deadpool and Ironman. Overall, I highly suggest trying this game if you often have others to play with. Single player is ok, but not worth a $30+ price tag. It's at least worth a rental for a weekend of X-Mening with friends. |

If you liked the first game this is the exact same thing just with 'more' of everything. More playable characters, more stages, more abilities, alot more costumes, and they made some things more user friendly. You level alot faster in this one, and items drop like crazy, so that helps keep your attention longer. Another cool thing is if you group certain people together you get party bonuses. One thing that's lame is the difficulty. I started on Normal and got probably 40-50% through the game before I had someone die. I Haven't beat it yet, but I hope there is a Very Hard mode. If not, guess I'll play through it on Hard some day. The gameplay is repetitious but it's fun for an hour or two once in a while. Fun with friends. Worth a rental, or if you're a big Marvel fan, buying. | |

+5 Internets | Had a marathon 10 hour session this weekend with just me and 1 other person on Normal difficulty. With only 2, this game is still a lot of fun. Your AI controlled teammates might not be all that efficient, but they get the job done. There is also a lot of replayability if you enjoy trying different characters and even different builds of the same character. Quote:
