Xenosaga III: Also Sprach Zarathustra

Since I know there's a few 'Gears fans and Xenosaga fans lurking around. Tokyo Game Show had the first info. Looks pretty good, but it's also the final episode in the series according to the listed info. No Xenogears remake =/

kinda weird, naming a game after Nietzsche, although it was a pretty damn interesting/thought provoking book. Hopefully the game will live up to the name~

I think I set my expectations way too high for this series when I first heard about it... been disappointed ever since I booted up Xenosaga 1.

Guess it was wrong to expect Xenogears 2.

All 3 games in 'Saga have been named after various Nietzsche books.

The script better be improved to Episode 1 quality (sorry, it was good in #1) since this supposedly finishes off Shion's story arc. ><

alot of japanese games and mangas have christian or western (often german) influences. evangelion is probably one of the best examples.

Episode III will be, and for that matter Episode II was, nothing like Xenogears, considering Monolith dumped two of the people that are important to the series pre-Episode II (Tetsuya Takahashi, director, and Soraya Saga, writer) as well lost Yasunori Mitsuda to other interests in music (he originally stated that he was quitting video game music altogether, but rumors surfaced that he's doing the OST for the next Chrono game).

I'm surprised they're even making a 3rd after the media and fanbase backlashed against Episode II.

Millie's sold, I can tell. Anyway, I will say I kind of like the art/modeling direction (some exceptions apply, such as MOMO looking like a deranged anorexic schoolgirl). You can see both versions of Shion in Ep I and II, which I had thought to be impossible to pull off after how radically different they were in appearance.

...I sound like my art teacher now.

At the utter least this bitch better be over 40 hours of gameplay for just the main story arc. >< Episode II was apallingly short for two discs.

This reminds me I need to finish Episode II. I loved the first one and just stopped playing this for no real reason one day? How good is the story of episode 2 compared to 1?

Can anyone sum up the end of episode1 and what episode2 was like?

I stopped playing ep1 when I was at the Song of Nephalim, but I had like 2 bucks to my name so I couldnt buy the mech upgrades. I hated how you had to grind in that game...most console RPGs you naturally level as you go along, but in this you literally have to kill shit like a MMO to get to a point where the bosses dont own you.
