+21 Internets | F.E.A.R. Beat the game a few days ago. I couldn't stop playing it scary as fuck and damm fun. Thinking back I wish there was a few more open area's and less freaking office buildings. Dual pistols is for some reason the most powerful weapon with slowmo. Easy to get head shots. The ending left it wide open for a second one. No spoilers but the final few scene's rocked. |

+2 Internets | Glad you liked it, I didn't like it at all. The soldier enemies looked great but the level design was juat horrid. Just a bunch of rooms and passages linked randomly together with little to no variation. As to the scary bits, I liked Doom3 more. Better atmosphere, better tension building and on the whole it didn't feel quite as forced as FEAR did. The slowmotion effect was nicely implemented though, I have a feeling we'll see that copied in other FPS games soon. |

+6 Internets | I think the strongest point of the game was the sheer intensity of the gun battles. The slowmo really set it off too. I loved how chunks of the wall would get gouged out as you desperatley filled the air with bullets, and how the smoke from the guns would get so bad you couldn't see, so just kept pulling the trigger till you were out of ammo and nothing moved. The guns felt like... well, guns. Big powerful noisy things. I played the Quake 4 demo just... meh. The guns just felt really... weak. As someone who enjoys closure though, I hated the ending. |
