Wild Arms Alter Code F

Buy it - BUY IT NOW! Well, if you love Wild Arms anyways. It's a remake of Wild Arms 1 and I must say it owns. Basically they took the Wild Arms 3 engine, threw Wild Arms 1 into it, and added a ton of shit to the game.

The story is way more fleshed out, there's more characters, more stuff to do. It owns. And for some reason I completely love the puzzles boxes, even if they are simple.

It's a great remake. Completely worth the money - especially if you love Wild Arms.

Also - Wild Arms 4 in Jan, be sure to get it. Now if only they'd remake Wild Arms 2...

(Edit: And if you get Wild Arms F be sure to get it sit at the title screen for a minute, a fairly long FMA plays that explains quite a bit about Jack's past)

Hmm, that's the old PS1 game that was like western-ish RPG right? If so I remember it being pretty fun, that was a long fuckin time ago~ I might get it once it's dropped in price, there's just too many games to get right now

Would be neat if more companies did this stuff ala the NES final fantasies redone on the ps1. I thought that was one of the best things ever, I still play them pretty consistantly. Can you imagine the dragon warrior series redone on new consoles? I'd cream my pants every time I played it.

Yeah, it's a Western-Steampunk-Sci-Fi... basically Tri-gun in RPG form. The most awesomest RPG setting ever.

And DQ5 was remade for the PS2, but has not been released over here... so gay.

Did a quick Google search on WA, and yeah that's the game I was thinking of. It was the first RPG I bought for my ps1. I'll definately check this out some time in the future.

I don't remember ever playing DW5. I think I played 1-3 or maybe 1-4, and 7. Which systems were each one on? I'd be happy with a ps2 disc with all of them redone with 16 bit graphics and updated UI's like they did with FF1+2 on ps1. That's not asking for much is it?

I bought the first Wild Arms on a whim in anticpation of FF7... and holy shit I was pleasantly surprised.

All I can remember now though was that it had like a 20 min ending

edit: How could i forget the grappling hook

Wild Arms 1 & 2 were increadible games. The best part about them being that I, like a lot of others, went in with such low expectations I was blown away. I'm definately going to pick this one up.

I still to this day, though I've long since gotten rid of the game, listen to the theme song from the game. The version that would play if you'd let the disc sit a minute to play the "trailer" anime sequence.

Did they use the song again in this version Sean?

Yeah, it's there. When you let it sit it starts up a long FMV sequence about Jack's past. Anytime you load the game it starts up the redone animation sequence with the theme song.

I loved Wild Arms for the PS1. One of the most unknown, underrated rpg's in the last ten years, imho. In my top 5 fave games for the PS1.

The opening FMV and theme song in Wild Arms were outstanding and memorable; the game was "meh".

Talk about timing! Right in time for my newfound love for western games. This one's up there with Red Dead now.
