| I bought it because i'm a huge Miyamato fan and it's had massive success in Japan. I really like it. It's essentially a glorified digital pet, as you said. I don't think of it as a game, but more of an innovative work of art. There are definitely game elements to it, such as improving your dog's stamina, teaching it new tricks, winning competitions and earning money to buy new things with, finding all the items, etc. But it's mostly just being in awe of how realistic the dogs look and act, and being surprised at how attached you actually get to them. Call me a pussy, but i'm telling you it's true. There's really not much depth to the game at all, so it's not for powergamers. Just a highly polished, innovative (uses everything the DS has to offer perfectly, it feels like the DS was made for this game) work of art. |

I also have a friend in WoW obsessed with it; I'd like to play it, but I don't have a DS, and I'm not about to buy one for that. His dog answers to Penis and he throws toys at its head. Kind of thankful he doesn't own an actual dog. | |

+12 Internets | Can you teach it to kill other people's dogs over the internet? That'd be internet gold if you logged into an MMO sort of world, and you could kill people's dogs. Especially if they had perma-death... |

+1 Internets | I want to try this out...but I just don't think I could get into a dog-simulator. I heard there are minigames...but are they the type that I could just randomly pick it up and play the minigames for like 30 minutes or an hour? |

| I saw the game today at my local Game Crazy cause my cousin works there, and I got to see it on the DS display they had The puppys really look adorable, I couldn't figure out much of it cause it was a demo, but you can teach him tricks witht the stylus, like make him jump, roll over, play dead That's all I was able to do on the demo, am not sure if there's more to it, definetly a cool game, but not quite the money game that would make me go out and buy a Nintendo DS Still waiting for that killer title...
