+6 Internets | Rag Doll Kung Fu I'm sure some of you guys have seen that Mark Healey's going to be releasing his game Rag Doll Kung Fu on Steam soon, and I think I made a thread about this game after GDC but I thought it could use one in this forum too! Basically it's a fighting game along with a bunch of other mini-games where the characters have no pre-scripted animations, just limbs you can move around and a center of balance with otherwise rag doll physics. It's not a technical breakthrough or anything, but it's pretty damn fun and ingenuitive. And it'll probably be pretty cheap too. My roommate and I got to sit down with Mark at GDC and talk to him while playing the game, and he was just a really nice guy with cool ideas who seems intent on pushing creativity and cool ideas in the industry as opposed to EA's plan of throwing 150 people on every next-gen project. He works as an artist at Lionhead, and he's been doing some cool experimental stuff funded by them as well (he gave a demo at the end of Molynuex's GDC presentation which can be found through the link posted in the Spore thread of a project they call "The Room" if you're interested, Molynuex's presentation was good too). I filmed a little presentation of Rag Doll Kung Fu he did at the experimental games discussion at GDC which you can find here if you're interested. It'll have online multiplayer capabilities too, so if you're up for supporting this type of stuff buy it and we can have an online FoH showdown...
