Not quite sure that narrows its suckiness down, homie . We talking Extreme Paint Brawl levels of suckiness or just not quite as fun as CS?

While I'm not a fan of CS, this doesn't really say it's bad seeing as CS is still one of(if not the) the most popular online games around.

That being said, I'm probably more interested in the single player campaign. The only multiplayer game that has me kind of excited, is TF2.

I have very high hopes for this game, but im kinda skeptical about "melee combat" part. 1st person melee combat isn't very good looking and hard to control. All the best (i.e. both) melee combat action PC games was in 3rd person view.

Fuck Valve and their shitty Source engine. The game crashes constantly for me just like HL2 Ep1 did.

I really hope they patch whatever the problem is before this is released next month, or by some miracle it doesn't affect the single player game since I have very little interest in MP anyway.

Wonder what's up with source crashing on a lot of people. I never had issues with HL2 or Episode 1, but I hear about them crashing from quite a few people.

I wondered that while I was playing SiN... and then it happened to me too with Ep1. :/

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was hoping it would be fun, and I don't play CS anymore, but to me I'd rather play CS any day of the week than this. It's pretty dull and unbalanced, and friendly fire is the default, so melee just tear into teammates constantly. Archers are the most useless class ever since Mages can instagib people from even farther away with spells that reach the target instantly while arrows have travel time and arc.

From the previews of MP, it sounded like a fun large scale swords/sorcery team game, but instead it's just a lame version of CS with swords instead of knives and weaksauce caster classes.

It's only MP so I can't say anything about single player, maybe it will be fun.

Is this that one game that was thrown around a while ago as having real full motion blur or something like that? I can't watch the videos but it looked cool.

I've been waiting for a good melee combat fantasy game for a while, Oblivion made steps in the right direction, but its budget for requiring skill needed to be too low for what I want.

Labeleing MMM as a FPS should give it the chance it needs to make a sweet game.

I hope the Singleplayer is good.

I think you're thinking of that tech-demo, Tuco. Where the two things are fighting and they do a freezeframe of the particles and shit? If that's what you're talking about, that's not Dark Messiah. The name eludes me atm.

WTF... 1.4GB download for the SP demo and all it is is one tutorial mission, plus the part from the E3 video leading up to the cyclops. You don't even get to fight the cyclops...

Even so, the solo stuff is much more fun than MP. Can't wait for it to finally be released (delayed until Oct. now).

Just finished it and thought the same. For 1.4 gigs I was thinking, WTF over already =( I wanted to fight that dude.

I usally don't care for MP but the solo aspect of this game looks like a lot of fun. I like teh physics useage in the game. Kicking guys into walls. Making stuff fall on people etc. The gameplay seems to let you be more involved in your fights and not just swing your sword a bunch at the guys or just hurl infinate fireballs.

At the same time I hope its not overused and there are a lot of good straight up fights. Most likely they just wanted to show off a lot of the aspects of the game that are more than just hack/slash though.
