The Wii release date

Ok, I'll be honest, this doesn't need it's own thread, but I think it does. Tonigth at 8 PM EST, Nintendo will be holding a conference in Japan annoucning the price/date of the Wii in Japan. Tomorrow, the similar thing in the U.S. The rumor going around is EB/GS taking pre-orders come monday and I've heard that "when we have the SKU, we'll take pre-orders". So guys, if you want a Wii, go to your local EB/GS come monday.

I know it's ironic I'm promoting EB/GS since I hate them so much, but after waiting for 10 hours for a Xbox360 (consequently in the pouring rain and freezing cold, nearly landing me in the hospital), I'm going for the easier route. Plus, my buddy recently took over as manager of the EB in my town, so I'll go there again. Just a heads up since I know we got a lot of Nintendo heads on this board. my pre order list is:
Wii Black (black console)
Trauma Center Second Opinion
Legend of Zelda twilight Princess
Madden 2007 (it just looks coola nd fun)

Same! Read the trauma center interview also if you want to check it out. You use the nunchuck to select your tool and the cool thing is, when me and my buds get our systems on launch, we can swap who operates and who selects to make the game much more fluid.

While the controller is great for offense on Madden, I really wanna see how it can be used for defense.

Trauma center is a virtual surgery game with a story line. It was originally released for the DS to make use of the stylus and was actually one of the more popular games. Second Opinion adds better graphics, an entirely new 6th chapter, new voice acting, as well as new missions in every chapter to the original one. I just went to the EB I used to go to, and their manager was against pre-orders as if they were the holy crusade. That was the first one that said "it was company orders that we not take pre-orders". He claimed "3 million for the US is nothing" (since he was being a fucking douche I kept firing back at him). I said 3 million was double what MS shipped and over 7 times what Sony is shipping. The last system to ship nearly that many systems was the N64 (there may have been more for the other two, but launch figures could not be found by me).

Also, on a side note, I found it interesting that Sony on EVERY system only lists units SHIPPED not sold. Don't want to start a war, but there are a shitload of PS2s and PSPs on the self (I saw about 50 PSPs at best buy).

$229.99 - Included is TWO Wii Motes, TWO Nunchuck attachments (obviously) and Wii Sports. This is obviously just a rumor, but again from a reliable IGN source.

Personally, I fucking love it. Wii Sports is a party game and looks pretty damn fun. I approve if true.

Rumours: £149 in Britain (because we always get ripped off), €220-€230(ish) in Europe...which, less tax, would suggest ~$200 in the US.
