| Sounds interesting.. those images weren't too bad either.. and the ability to train up some skills while not online.? I like that.. That has some potential.. Hopefully I've stopped my urges to buy every new MMOG that comes out... and that one will be worthy of a buy. |

| Unless they have a crack team of Tolkein nerds working on it it'll never be Middle-Earth. They can use Tolkein's map of Middle-Earth, but unless it's ridiculously detailed to exposition of Tolkein lore and a heavy language barrier it wouldn't really BE middle-earth. Plus some things just couldn't exist. Mordor was HEAVILY *emphasis on heavily* fortified, and teeming with the legions of Sauron during the time of the LoTR books. No fighting at Barad-Dur no matter how huge a zerg you assemble.. hell, not even any victory, as you couldn't pull the big W off in a game staged during the War of the Ring. It sounds like just a horrible idea all around. A single player, fine. A continous world? WTF? "Frodo has destroyed the One Ring! The Black Tower has been cast down!" "Fuck, time to start /tradeskill Plant Tree, /tradeskill Repair Osgilliath!" Last edited by Iannis : 12-18-2003 at 07:05 AM. |

| This game sounds like it could rule, but it won't for 2 simple reasons: 1. It takes place when the Fellowship is in Moria...So what? The game is frozen in time forever? They shoulda made it start BEFORE the FOTR starts. 2. Turbine is making it. Nuff said. |

| in the demo they had going, according to Gamespy, they only had two classes and one race you could play...with only four races in the finished game. I have a feeling this is going to be another empty ass MMORPG with a lot of pretty land and nothing to do.

| That only means they can turn out a total piece of shit (like SWG) and still have moderate success.

| The comparison between these character models and EQ "new" models stands out. Well, we don't know how good this game will be, but at least it will have kickass graphics.
