Ok, ok. I know soloing 3 year old content isn't much to make a big deal about, but how many other classes can do that? Bards? I dunno. Just two I can really think of. I've seen some Necros take out the Kunark dragons with the aid of a cleric, so it is not like it is a huge accomplishment.

However, it does showoff the ability of a Pali to be a tank in XP type groups. As well as shows off their ability to add more to a group than simply meat tank.

P.S. The "new" buff is basically just Aegolism which palis already had in 3 pieces (HB, Bulwark, Marzin).

Kinda makes me wonder how it would go for a Warrior. I doubt it would be even close, especially considering Palis have a 30% haste buff, but then again I guess Wars could use the Ornate Gloves (they have the click haste right? I dun know for sure, but Rogues Ornate gaunts do). Be interesting to find out.

The difference here is that Kreugen would probably read that stupid log rather than actually waste his time soloing gorenaire. In case you were wondering, we can solo Emp Crush as well.

While some may look at this and just say, so what, intelligent people are able to see that something is completely FUCKED UP about a Paladin soloing Gorenaire (while tanking adds I might add). The fact that he had full Time gear proves the point I've been yelling and screaming about for months, ITEMIZATION IS COMPLETELY FUCKED UP IN THIS GAME. PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES DEVS AND UNDERSTAND YOU CANNOT GIVE THIS KIND OF GEAR TO HYBRID KNIGHTS.

To touch on the balance issue notice how many times he had crit heals for 2-3k. Those are what makes a person able to solo something like this.

If a Paladin that had 7k mana and only 7k hp did this it would be the same thing I am pretty sure. A warrior cannot heal himself and so should have more HP I agree but even if you took the gear away that a Paladin could use and limit him down to less HP he would be able to do this if he had some skills.

Ok guy, I'm sure that's what it is.

Cause you know Beta's of the, what, 6th expansion? (I lost count and it's really not worth my 2secs of time to figure out the right number) of a game really have a huge effect on balance. For the most part what is happening are little tweaks that they started at the end of SoV stockpiling into what we see today. I can list the changes outside of new gear with more HP that they have done for pure melee classes (hell, I aint even singlin this out to Warriors) since Kunark on 3 fingers. Monk tables adjusted (back and forth, but its still one finger ), Shielding, and fuck I'm sure there's a third thing.

On top of that... Pull your head outta your ass. A Pali in the same gear (which is available NOW, not in LDON) could have done the EXACT same thing. The ONLY reason it took the Beta testers to figure it out is because that Pali is at the extreme end of Pali uberness. But that is the problem. A Warrior at the same end of Warrior uberness would not be nearly as effective. Considering time invested on both AAs and gear would be the same that is just straight fucked up.

I also think 10k self buffed HP is horrendous. Aside from the extra 300 hp Virtue gives and FoSoul (500ish hp) Palis self buff is nearly that of raid buffed at this level of play. Don't take this as me saying Palis shouldn't get the new buff. I think they should. I mean they basically already have it anyway. it's just in the form of 3 buffs. And smart palis would group with a Druid for healing in XP groups so they are using Symbol anyway.

But I do also think the HPs of PCs are just too astronomically high and it is not like we can go back and change anything.

I am kind of curious on Kruegan's thoughts. Do you still not see the utility Palis have?

I realize it is the beta server. I find it humorous and cool that they made Mistmoore a lvl 65 area is all.
