| Undead Race in WOW? Recently playing Warcraft III, again, Arthas as an undead pally is pretty intense. Now, this may have been mentioned before on another thread and some people may find it gay, but having the Undead as a playable race would just own. Or you could have a quest that would turn you into the undead. Either way I think this may be the next race that Blizzard announces. I could be wrong as well...What do you think? Also, that panda bear dude would own as well...Drunken Panda Fu!

| Heh, remember back when Verant was doing Project M? That shit was fun as hell, you could create a character on test server that was a random newbie monster. I'd keep clicking it over and over, one time I got a zombie, all I can say is FUCKING OWN. I chased this newbie monk that was soloing all the way into freeport from NRO. After that experience, yeah, an undead race would own. Back off-topic again, what the fuck is wrong with Verant? Playing as monsters was absolute hilarity and some of the most fun i've had in a while, I never understood why they didn't leave it implemented on the red servers. Anyone know what their reasoning was for killing Project M? |

| How was it an absolute griefer paradise, you got a random noob mob, you didnt even know where, and he got the same abilities as all the other monsters, only controlled by humans... I don't think you could even level them up, also, once you died with the monster it booted you to char select and you had to choose another character. It was also only supposed to be implemented on PVP servers if I'm correct? |

| Of course you had the same abilities as the regular monsters, but unlike your AI controlled counterparts, you weren't stupid enough to run straight at someone who just shot an arrow at you and stand toe-to-toe meleeing them. Anyone who played as an npc with half a clue would circle-strafe their opponent and so forth. For someone attempting to kill the monsters, this would prove a huge annoyance and could mean their death. |

| Undead race in WoW is speculation, but my private suspicion is that it will happen. Undead Mages, Warlocks and Warriors, for example, are likely, as well as "super secret other classes not revealed yet" Second thing: Project M was "scrapped" because of the fact people would, if I recall right, essentially group up on newbies and make it bloody hell for them to be able to fight them off. That's what the griefing was, I believe.

| Project M was quite possibly the most fun thing they ever added to EQ post release...and it only lasted a few days then they canned it and never spoke of it again. /sigh Never have I had so much fun running around chasing people as a lvl 1 snake. I remember hiding behind rocks and trees hoping no one saw me so I could sneak around and ambush newbs. I'll say it now for the record. project M, in some form or another, will be a "downloadable add-on expansion (like LoY)" 3 or 4 months after Lost Dungeons of Norrath's release. hehe |

| Couldn't speak You couldn't talk to other players as a monster, but you you could do emotes (they had no text however). I got skeleton once in E Commons and could wave and dance to the players killing orcs there. And yeah, Project M was a blast. The most fun was when I got a caster lizard in Cazic and really screwed with a shaman powerleveling his twink warrior. Marv |

| Project M was wonderfully buggy. You could enter the game, see what skills your mob had: track(bixies ), mend, flying kick, etc. and make a hotkey for it. Then go back to character select, start another mob and the skill would still be hotkeyed. Many a gnome fell victim to our godly pack of clockwork spiders - we communicated over the phone with threeway.cherish the memories |

| ok well i tried Project M out on a Zek server and I happened to land in crushbone. like 30 centurions were ganging up on some level 30 who tried to farm his quest piece from DVinn... needless to say, since he was a ranger he died to a 30 cent train, even if all were in the high 0s. However, this undead race thing is BS... a quest that turns you undead, dude can i get some of your crack too please ? WOW is post-TFT, there is no scourge left, so being some deathknight like Arthas would make you so very KoS to so everything you would basically beg a GM to undo it. |
