| Fun new feature Being patched as we speak was an interesting new feature that happened to one of my guildmates, and apparantly has been happening throughout others servers. This new feature? - Characters randomly going ld and being automatically deleted. Out of every mistake the EQ team has made since I've played the game, I think this has to be their ultimate blunder. I guess it must be easier to delete characters rather than hearing complaints about 1018 errors. Congratulations on this impressive milestone. You set the bar, you raised it, and now you demolished it.

| "... BWAHAHAHA! ... that is all." -Smedly on the plus side, it's SO MUCH easier to cancel your account if your character magically disappeared. Last edited by Iannis : 05-15-2003 at 11:08 AM. |

| With all the talk of WoW and things EQ is missing like dynamic content, I was thinking that creating a GM-level position for the sole purpose of adding a dynamic element to server encounters would be well worth the expense. Not "GM" events, but what would you think of this: The development team (either EQ or WoW or whatever) designate one or two people to play, full-time, any mob of their choosing. They can tailor this mob's drops, hit points and abilities to suit the particular encounter or zone or add the "flavor of the day". This guy basically logs on whatever server he chooses, picks a zone, spawns his playable mob, and plays till he gets killed. He can choose to spawn during a raid encounter, in a dungeon where XP groups are playing, or even in a city zone. He can use /shout and /say to communicate if he wants to. When he gets killed, he creates a new mob on another server and does the same thing. This would add dynamic content (although quite limited and rare because it would be spread across servers) and keep things interesting and a bit exciting for players. There would have to be guidelines for playing this type of mob, but I believe it would spice up things and be well worth the investment for game designers. If you ran one of these companies, would you consider adding this kind of feature? |

| Yup not new. Had 3 people in my guild p00f that way. At least they got restored pretty fast. This happened about a month back (around the time of the door patches, as we used to joke about how it was good they were fixing "important" things). I guess they havent fixed this bug yet. |
