| *sigh* It has been very clear that SoE is not honest with it's player base. They use fucked up tricks, like breaking the last barrier to PoTime to be able to set access to their time table. I agree that PoTime did not need to be compleated at launch of PoP. IMO if SoE have had it 70% done at release, and finished it a few month after, so they would have time to tune the encounters as people moved through the lower tier content. It absolutely should have been done with in days of someone breaking into PoEb. As it stands I a willing to bet PoTime is not itemized at this moment, and when they finally fix the door, the first guilds in there will still be screaming about the bugs because they are looking at a zone that had minimal QA done on it. Sad thing is this just continues SoE standard behavior of misleading their player base to cover up for their short comings. I would have a much higher opinion of the dev team, and give them much more slack, if they would just be open and honest about the state of the game. Is the game perfect? No. It is unrealistic to expect that. Almost everyone would still play even if they knew the flaws. |

Ever notice how in the last few expansions there is always broken content in one of the top three major quests which prevent progression into the end-game expansion? Are you trying to tell me that in SoL SoE was able to do the 100s of newbie quests; many which contain ring events, without a hitch but the biggest quests in the game remain broken for god knows how long? I think not. I wouldn't be surprised if SoE broke PoEB on purpose to stall while they finish PoT ;p Quote:
I play on dial-up, I shouldn't be forced to spend 2 hours downloading a advertised zone which should be on the CD every time I format. If they plan on pulling shit like releasing PoT later down the road they damn well better tell me right on the box "19 new zones and exclusive download rights on additional zones related to this expansion at future times."

| Re: the Time key. Bazael, which theory are you leaning towards with regards to the Time key: the all-too-rare things you have to farm, or the thing you might not see when you finally kill Rathe Council? I'm leaning towards the latter, based on the change to a fixed spawn time on the elemental gods, but I guess we'll see. Delores Mulva Lotus Cult Quellious |

All I know is that I recall the patch right before Veeshans Peak was actually accessible took me several hours of downloading VP related files. Same thing goes with Sleepers Tomb, same thing goes with Vex Thal.

I've been dealing with these people for nearly 5 years now - I basically have been "with" the company longer than 90% of their operational teams. This is nothing new or special. Unfortunately, in an expansion like PoP, where we probably have had the worst itemization of any expansion combined with catastrophic cockblocks of various content, holding the player's attention becomes more and more difficult each passing day. The only thing that blurb on EQLive meant was "We're still not ready for you guys to enter Time, therefore Rathe will remain broken." | |

| Would be nice Would anyone else care if VI said in a patch message " In order to ensure Plane of Time is properly tuned we must deactivate the porthole/zone leading to it, Sorry for the delay. When it is compleate we will let you know" OR "Waste your time on an encounter that you stand 99% chance of failing. We will keep you in the dark and not be up front with you at ALL. Have Fun." I can't understand why they don't just say something, I know people won't leave the game over that. Heh don't most expect it? To patronize us with comments like "the encounter is being reviewed at this time and any fix/changes will probably not be in tonites patch but the next one. they also said PoTime is gtg." Is well just sad. |

| eh Dak - More specifically: Plane of Time does not need to be ready upon release, it should have a "base" to operate off of though. 1:The zone should obviously be constructed. 2:A plan of the zone should be layed out (IE: Ring events, progression through the zone, keys for in zone doors etc) *note: Not setup in game, but at least on documentation somewhere in the office, of how the zone is supposed to work etc. 3:Mob Models should be complete Stuff that should be "tuned" as players go through the rest of the expansion include: 1: How hard mobs hit 2: Spells mobs can use 3: Adjusting time limits on ring events etc based on players DPS(tested through the lower tier zones in the expansion) That is what I meant... |

| --------------Give a *good* reason why Plane of Time needed to be 100% functional upon release of planes of power.--------------- Because if devs wern't using their time to add shitty itemization and populating empty fucking zones that should have been good to go from the release date, they could focus on fixing all the broken and bugged shit that permeates the game. It's pretty hard (I'd imagine) to fix anything when your writing content that should have been complete prior to the release of POP. It's funny how not even all of SOL's zones are complete, but fuck it, lets just keep pouring out expansions with broken zones/content. Brilliant.............

| ~ seriously there just is now excuse for shitty itemization, how fucking long does it really take to type up some stats for uber_item_01 and slap it on a mob, boss mobs in elemental planes having a 1 item loot table is extremely laughable. |
