| Unflagged frame-rate issues. I'm kinda posting this here since I don't know how many others have the same problem that I do, but its very unusual. First, I have access to 2 accounts, 1 which is flagged for elemental access, and one which isn't. If I play on the flagged account, life is normal and frame-rates are good. (P4 2.4, GF3, 512mb of RAM) However, if I play on the unflagged account, the second I zone in my frame rate is around 20fps or so. (Guesstimate) The interesting this is if I reload my UI (doesn't matter, I've tried a bunch of different ones, including the default, and they all work fine on the flagged account) the lag goes away..... ... for about 2 and a half minutes. Then its back to lag as usual for this account, but only in unflagged zones which I am currently in w/ my raid. Now one other thing I have noticed is if I reload the UI to get good fps, then /raiddisband, everything is good. Up until the moment I get the red text informing me I have 3 minutes to join a raid or be removed. As soon as I get that notice, my fps drops once again down to very low rates. It seems that, atleast for me, whenever the server/client (whichever does the checks, presumably the server) suddenly decides that I am unflagged and does the /raid check, my fps drops dramatically, and reloading the UI fixes this until the next check occurs. I petitioned this, they had no explanation, and I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem. |

| No, but it could be the protocol packet that simply throws some internal rendering threads out of shape. When you reload an UI, the big pause you get is the system completely reloading stuff (like when you zone). A good test: besides reloading the UI, does switching to and out of window mode "refreshes" the frame rate? |

| I never gave it much thought before but I have a similar situation. 2 characters, same account, same PC, same video setting - One is fine in the bazaar (happens to have several PoP flags - not that that's for sure relevant) and the other lags like hell. I always assumed it was becuase of the slightly different UIs used. The non lagging warrior uses Drakah Mix and the lagging like hell enchanter uses DrakahTking. I just assumed it was something about the TKing art work making me lag. Now I am not so sure.

| The guest feature affects more than it should some how. If I'm a guest on a raid, die (bound in knowledge) and manually zone into tranquility to run back I crash while zoning. Load EQ back up, get halfway to character select, crash again. Load EQ up again, and can get back fine. Happens like that every time. If I die and get res'd directly back I have no problems. If I'm not a guest but have proper flags I have no problems. It's pretty fucked up. |

| FRAPS Stop with the SEEMS like. Download Fraps and Test it yourself http://www.fraps.com/ Post what you find. I agree Flagged people may be recieving extra data, or a heartbeat to the client to check raid status etc and maybe they are offloading those calculations on the Client instead of having their servers do it (which would in some cases kill the EQ server the zone you are in runs on) Test it and post what you find.

| When you say using two accounts simultaneously, you mean like by using EQW, correct? Well, that doesn't have anything to do with flags or UIs. First account loaded gets full access to all the ram it could want, second account to get loaded gets the ass end of what ram you have left. Try logging them in in a different order. |

| I still don't believe it's a flag issue. Personally I've never been to elemental planes so I wouldn't know, but perhaps it's because they are large and require a lot more ram than other zones? That would still make my theory valid. |

| Did you know? That if you run 2 instances of EQ from the same directory, it slows one down a TON. Try making a second folder (copy C:/Program Files/EverQuest or whatever) and open EQ using the .exe there. Hopefully that should solve some problems. NOTE: You have to open eq from one directory's .exe and the other instance from the other .exe
