| If you are tired of EQ I played EQ for quite a few years, have a couple level 65 chars on same account. I have come to a point that, playing EQ everyday for 10 hours is just too boring and dull. Then a friend talked me to play Anarchy online. I played AO a bit when it first released, it was buggy and laggy. Suprisingly when i tried it a couple weeks ago, it got most of the problems fixed. It is now very playable and more things to do. AO has very friendly interface with new starters and don't require big guild or lots of friend in order to xp, mission, pvp or even exploring. Of course there are tough boss mobs just like in eq, which drop special loots. But you could do well with normal loots from regular monsters already. 2 people of any classes could form a a nice xp team, and there are not need for doctor(cleric in eq) for xp. The big plus is, when you only have an hour to play that day, you could solo a easy mission for xp and no need to sit forever and beg for a group. PvP can be fun on prime time, but it will be hard to find people offpeak though, that's a big disappointment. (should give bouns like special skill or skill point for pvp title holder, but that's off topic). If you are not satisfy with just killing the enermy, you could invade opposite side's tower, city etc. overall its a decent game. Only major downside is, not as many people as in eq, due to the major disappointment at release. It is just like legend server nowadays. After hours of PoEarth, I am off to relax a bit in AO. ;p |
