| Are all the charms totally useless The charms found so far all seem to be useless, I am all for new nifty stuff but there are none I can see using much less going to LoY to get. Charm of solitude...how worthless is that ... with an average raid group is essentially zero stats. Platinum charm is cool but very limited use due to weight of coin. Is there any charm out there that has a beneficial effect when on a regular raid? |

| The Ranger's Glade has a thread listing all charms found so far, at least by rangers or browsers of the Glade. Some of them look nice, like the Agi/Wis one or Dex/Int one. Many of them do seem mostly useless; though if the Charm of Conservation works for pure melee classes, I have to say "WTFZOR!?" If they get a bonus for not being able to mem spells at all, gimme a charm that goes up with each spell gem I have filled you asses. |

| ... Haven't seen any remarkable ones or even ones that I think would actually make a difference for most level 60's, let alone end game lvl 65 people. I'm thinking the high end charms come from either the boss of Hates Fury or off some named in the Torigan mines... And if your thinking about going to kill the captain in Hates Fury think again. If someone isn't familiar with Hates Fury, to spawn him or his event there are 4 extremely rare quest pieces you have to camp in Hates fury, which are totally and ridicously rare. The spawntime in the zone is approx 20 mins or so, 3 of the pieces drop off a named spawn that has a PH rate of about 4 ph's to 1 named, and the drops are no more than 1 in 10 kills, If that. The 4th Piece is a very rare drop off a 2 Hour spawn, that in order to trigger you have to keep clearing its room of mostly green con rats and a few light blue/blue trash mobs. Been camping hates fury now for approx 40 hours since LoY came out and I just yesterday finally got 1 of 4 pieces for the quest. If there's an good charm in LoY it'll probably result from this, but its ridicously time consuming(camping light blue trash) to finish the quest.

| most of the charms so far would fall into the not-worth-effort category, but the platinum disk and platinum sword are not too shabby, kinda like food, it's just a bonus on top of all the slots you've always had. |

+4 Internets | Mostly worthless but... considering that you currently have 0 AC 0 mana 0 hp 0... etc in that slot then anyhting is a significant upgrade ![]() I'm sporting the Carved Fox Ear which at 355 Int and 305 Dex has 11 Sta 11 Cha 27 mana and sv fire 7 as I recall (from memory) Its not super or anything but thats some sv fire and mana I didnt have before.... Pretty upset that the Charm of Deception isnt scaled with the level of the illusion spell used. If you are in ANY illusion at all it has full benefit. |

| The problem is, I and most people are perfectly willing to keep that slot as 0AC, 0 etc because the time and energy needed just to get a charm, let alone one that you might actually want/be able to use, is truly astronomical compared to the stats you can get out of it. 11 Sta? Meh. 11 Dex? Meh. 27 Mana? Puh-leeze. And that's assuming I have 305 Dex and 355 Int (I won't even be able to have 355 Int no matter what I do, anyway). Most of the charms require you to do very odd things that cripple your character, and you get in exchange for this a paltry amount of stats and mana. No bags in inventory? Hurrah, you have +9 Dex, +15 HP now! No spells memorized? Yay, you get 12 Stamina! It seems most people need to spend about 40+ hours camping around LoY to get a single charm. And what's the reward? Less than 25 HP/Mana, even if the charm's stats are max'd by otherwise crippling your character. I would rather spend that time raiding/camping stuff for a 25+ HP upgrade that's on all the time, not just when I have no room to carry stuff, which will come with more secondary stats and saves than any charm will provide; and I could possibly get 2 or more of these types of upgrades in the time it takes somebody to camp a charm. Charms are fucked up; their drop rate is fucked up and their effects are fucked up. |

| hehe, think only 2-3 people in my guild even have one. They got em during the initial few days of exploring too. Haven't seen anyone asking about a pharm there at all since then. The charms suck. Not a single one worth getting imho. |

Otherwise, not really. The stats of most charms are so weak and take so long to camp you are probably better off just farming phat AA with an enc buddy and getting the same stats through AAs.

| Personally, the most annoying part of charms is (I've been told and tend to believe) you can't see how it will effect you until you equip it. There is one obvious obvious fix to this: Fix it up like what happens when a level 20 equips a recommended 45 item. IE: STR: +5 (11). So if a charm is based off INT / DEX as your example, why can't they be like: STA: +11(12), STR: +11(12) MANA: +27(30) SV FIRE: +7(8) SV DISEASE: +7(8) or whatever yours was. I've had a myriad of charms linked to me and I have not a god damn clue how much they'd help me. Take solitude charm. If that gave like, shit I dunno, 30 str, 30 sta, 30 agi, 30 dex, 100 hp, 100 mana when you are only one in zone, sure I'd take my twink beastie over to LoY, pick one up, then exp in some random unused zone. But as is, even with the description "This charm gains power as you gian wisdom and agility" or whatever, I have no idea what I get from it. DEX? STR? HP? MANA? FT 1? They really need to point out what the max stats are. And for ones that have no cap (which alone would be a shitty idea), such as platinum coin based one, at least show what the effects are for what I have equipped then. Oh, +3 sta for 300pp? Hrm, I don't think I'll ever be able to hold over 1500 pp on me comfortably, 15 sta? I'll do without, pass on charm. But I have no way of doing that now. |

Solo = no stats 2 total paladins in group = 1ac, 5hp, 5mana, 2 magic 4 total paladins in group = 3ac, 15 hp, 15 mana, 6 magic 6 total paladins in group = 3ac, 15hp, 15 mana, 6 magic... The odds of seeing 4 paladins in one group in an elemental raid are like 0 to none, and even if they were would these charm stats matter in the least bit? Nope. I was hoping/expecting charm slots to be about on par with semi-decent jewelry like rings and earrings but the way it is thus far charm < blackburrow loot.
