I never said anything bad about twinking, I fully support it... I think its one of the priviledges that comes along with having a higher level character that you are allowed easier access to a new class and a new way to breeze through boring/previously tedious levels through the use of otherwise unobtainable equipment. I was simply pointing out the fact that having had a policy of anti-twinking in the last two expansion, verant seems to have embraced it as a part of Everquest rather than try to fight it with level recommendations or requirements. It's interesting to me, and sort of refreshing considering how much more SOE is listening to it's playerbase.

>>When Frodo got the cool sword that glows and the mithril armor in LOTR no one gave a shit he got 'twinked' and I'm pretty sure no one cares here. Not at all true...might want to reread the first part of The Return of the King. The orcs seemed to care ![]() As to twinking, it's not really an issue with level limits. People will twink regardless, they'll just twink different stuff. The problem with not having them is the road people take. 3-4 years ago, we were in dungeons because we needed the drops from there. It was the best we could get. We had to take the risks and dive in. We had to learn to play. Today's people at the levels we were then? Outdoor zone to outdoor zone. Visit the bazaar for all your gear needs. Anything you can hunt yourself, why bother when you can buy better with ease? And, hey, when you hit 65 and you can't take that nasty boss mob? Just throw more bodies at it, it is, afterall, the easy way. Nothing I'd like to see more than all the old gear to get required and recommended levels. Not about twinking, but rather about getting people to go hunt for their own gear and in the process, learn how to play.

well.... Apparently you spoke to soon... "Some Legacy of Ykesha items will be gaining a Recommended Level With our next patch we will be adding Recommended Levels to some of the items that can be found in The Legacy of Ykesha. We will be adding them to items as needed and at levels that are reasonable for the items. This shouldn't change too much for most folks, but we wanted to let you know before it happened. Alan"
