Be Warned! It's 1985 all over again in Norrath!

So the armor dyes come out and what do I see? A hot pink bard, a neon green mage, a neon orange wizard. A hot pink barb warrior! A hot pink and neon green ranger!

Is it just me or did everyone take a leap back to 20 years ago and think *hmmm 80's neon fashions were hot, let's do it in EQ!*

It's making me want to dig out my hot pink torn sweater with the jagged neon green letters that says "Party Girl". It's even got the funky neon green paint spash look.

I just thought I would share with you all since I never really have anything to say on this board! I don't even play on this server but this message board is one of the most entertaining fer shure. Like totally.

OMG I am turning 80's as we speak....help me......help......

I'm wearing a neon green bp and neon yellow arms, legs, wrists. Nothing like torturing your guildmates.

One of our rogues went neon rainbow for a bit.

Did the original colors change or are those pics with the neon colors dyed? I personally don't want to look like a richard simmons wannabe in bright pink tights.

I wish they would give us /dye off, so we can see the game like we used to.
Dyes are fun, but I'd rather be able to see what a person is wearing, than to see that their fashion sense is lacking ...

The original idea of Dye was cool, but the problem is that it's too fucking easy to do. You should have to dye armor by piece, not by slot. Also, each attempt should be more costly. FAR more costly.

Personally, i love having my entire suit match. I dyed all my armor dark gray, and it really looks nice on a barbarian warrior. This hot pink stuff is good for some people, but the joke is getting old fast.

When you say by slot, does that mean if i change breastplates no matter what it's always the same color once i dye my 'chest slot' ? I didn't test this after dying my armor.. (charcoal gray, no rainbow thanks.!)

That is correct, you are actually tinting the 'slot' for the armor, not the armor itself. Any armor you swap in should have the same color.

Haven't bothered dying my armor yet, but is it permanent in the slot? Half the fun of new armor is getting good combo's such as SS armor. Also, can you dye just plate or can casters dye their slots?

Its not perm, you can re-dye your stuff at any time.

And any item with a graphic can be dyed, cloth, leather, chain, or plate.

Just set all the dye slots back to 255 255 255 for original colors. Dye is so simple to make at just under 30pp a dye I'm sure the pink and green will die out soon. Altho I really would like to see it used for MT on raids. A big pink BP can really help a rog line up fast.
