I know it's not EQ related -- but how much of this forum really is?

Masters of Orion 3 went gold today! No hardlined release date that I could find (best was the 2/25/03 date that most stores already advertise).

Anyway, I am sure this will affect many of the gamers who frequent these boards.

the damn thing is FINALLY releasing? i had been following it forever, but they kept pushing the stupid thing back.

i don't care about multiplayer options. I'M TIRED OF SCREWED UP CIV 3 COMBAT.

as far as single player games master of orion 1 and 2 were awesome but they multiplayer was just way too slow. I hope this one is as good as the others were

MOO3 has simultaneous multiplay. That will take a huge bite out of multiplayer slowdown.

Actually, this post should be cross-referenced with Kreugen's thread on how eq is getting to be a boring drag for him on huge zerg raids.

I always play MOO2 on my laptop during zerg flag raid_006. Playing a turn-based strat game is a good foil for those nights where the eq action is uninvolving.
