even with the update to me it still seems a little lacking, maybe bump it to vengeance V and 25 to stats and 15 to saves and 125/125 but at least they did upgrade it some, what do you think of this now RvR.

Actually, there's probably alot of truth to that.

Instead of upgrading a shitload of items, VI will just add slot: charm to a bunch of em and VOILA, instant uber!

Yes, making it an uber item for CHARM slot would be the correct thing to do. By itself it is a great item, if you don't consider any other factors, such as the other items that you would have to replace in that slot.

Now if you add CHARM slot to it, that gives it a niche in the game.

Actually, the best thing to do with it given it a pretty unique item with lore behind it, is to give it a unique effect where it stands out, IE Talisman of Vah Kerrath.

Fletched Earth bow is approximately the same. 100hp, slightly less stats and resists, but huge SvDis, the hardest to raise, and agruably most wanted. 2 regen and veng 2 vs. veng. No dodge mob.

The trivial to obtain Charm of Defense has simlar values on the 'important' stats, and lesser resists, with no veng. No dodge mod, but a parry mod. Since dodge mods seem more common, if you have one already, this charm is superios if you're MTing.

Both of these are 'common' in the ele planes, if you know where to camp, and a byproduct of great exp camps. There is no way that this book should be comparable to those two items, given what a hassle it is to obtain.

I do realise that. I've completed the quest.

We've pulled like 3 earth bows and a dozen or more charms out of the planes from specific camps, and only ever seen 2 Hope Stones. You can't camp anything in particular to improve your chances of getting one if you actually want one, as you can with the charm and with the earth bow. Couple of days exping in the right areas for those two and you'll have them. Certainly nowhere near that easy with the book. You'll be lucky to see a Hope Stone at all, let alone having it drop for someone willing to do the quest.
