| I think it would be a neat/interesting addition if Monsters gave some sort of warning that they were about to AE rampage (instead of just doing it nonstop, /yawn), or cast an AE spell/ability. ie: "UberMob's muscles quiver as they build with rage" .. then lets say, 5 seconds later, he lets out an uber-gibbage of AE rampage ownage. Then people could re-position/etc as needed, keep people on their toes a bit more and add some more movement/etc to a fight instead of being an AFK-attack athon .. and, could also tell which tanks are being lazy AFKers as they spontaniosly combust. |

| Why do they even have rampage, this is such a stupid ability I rank it right up there with enrage and summoning for retardness. Okay, granted these abilities have their use in very limited situations, rooted mobs and "encounters" should summon, a couple mobs here or there should enrage or rampage when it makes sense, like the burrower, big ass worm that it is should thrash on people, that makes AE rampage sense once in a while. But using rampage as an AE on mobs is just fucked up, as has been pointed out it discriminates against melee, and lets face it, it's just dumb concept 99.9% of the time. There is a working system for AEs already in the game, the resistance system. Mobs shouldn't have rampage or AE rampage, they should use the standard AEs so a) meleers aren't totally discriminated against and b) so when casters do have to be in range they have a chance to resist which they sure won't with a melee attack. If it's REALLY necessary to have melee attacks hitting more than 1 person... have multiple mobs. Speaking of which, goddamn, when are they going to give mobs even a slightly different AI. All a god is is an orc pawn with a bigger stick. |
