Rant: Euroguilds and cockblocking

This expansion is really beginning to piss me off.

There are three big guilds on my server. Two American guilds and one Euro guild. What consistently happens each and every time there is a patch is that the Euroguild logs on and goes straight for Rallos Zek and Bertox. Why do they do it?

I'll tell you why they do it. BECAUSE THEY CAN. What better way to keep the high end to yourself than intentionally preventing anybody else from having a shot? I'm not saying this is what the euroguild on MY server is doing, but it does happen. Did we not complain about this shit during SoV? Did we not bring it back up again during SoL? And now, once again, the same problem arises in PoP. What was Verant's solution? They randomized the spawn times on some mobs. Why not ALL of the big mobs? Why only a select few? Furthermore, why don't they stay random after they've been killed? Sure, uber_mob_01 spawns randomly on server up, but once it's dead, you can count on it spawning every 7 days.

Hell, the only time we ever get an actual shot at RZ is when the server crashes in the middle of the day (which rarely happens) and then only if the trigger mobs to begin the event actually spawn before 3 or 4 A.M. when people have to sleep because they have actual jobs. It's pathetic that my guild had to sit around for 13 hours camping the zone in the slim hopes that the trigger mobs MIGHT spawn today (they didn't). That just means they'll spawn during the daytime tomorrow while I and all my other fellow guildmates are at our various places of employment while the Euroguild is just winding down from a hard day at work on the other side of the world. And RZ is just an example. I'm sure there's been plenty of blocking going on in both directions.

This, in my mind, is what's wrong with the high end game. Time zone conflicts are just stupid. I can't figure out why, for the life of me, they were allowed to exist in the first place. Verant either needs to randomize every spawn every time or else they need to take the servers down while I'm at work and bring them up during MY primetime every now and then. Of course, such a simple solution as that is probably beyond their comprehension.

I'm not whining about not having killed RZ or anything. Given the actual opportunity, I know we'll win. What I'm complaining about is being stripped of that opportunity each and every fucking time because Verant refuses to admit that having uber guilds on opposite sides of the planet is a problem.

What can be done to fix this? It's too late to go back, but it's not too late to prevent it from happening again in the future.

Yes, it's the same on Karana. Look at the Big Killers of Karana list, http://novae.dhs.org/bkk/index.php?guild=-1&zone=0, and guess which guild is Euro.

Firstly, If the majority of the "Euro guild" are from NZ/Aus, then it is a NZ/Aus guild, no?
And second, why should you Americans get everything your way? why should the mobs have to spawn when you want them to?
why cant you get your lazy fat arse out of bed earlier and get to RZ before the competition?
You already have patches in the middle of the night so it doesnt get in the way of your play time, you already have tech support on phones, you get the expansions before any non-US area. So give up RZ and go kill something else.

Just because you cant have everything doesnt mean you have nothing, now go take your ball home!

I know its an American game, made by American people, made mainly for American people, that is my point.

Verant has done all it can to give Americans preferential treatment in EQ, the expansions first, they have better tech support, they have the most fan faires, and they put the patcher on at times when there arent many American players online. I dont have a problem with that, after all, the majority of EQ players are American. All Im saying is, if you get all the good stuff, you may have to make a few tiny sacrifices, you cannot get everything your own way.
