| One of the big bristlebane guilds (Club Fu) rocketed ahead in Velious by blocking access to sleepers tomb, denying guilds other guilds the chance to practice on Aary, killing the sleeper to deny other guilds access to SoDs/etc (breaking an agreement they made with another guild to not do this!), permanently keeping the Emperor down to block access to VT. They were also instrumental in breaking away from the event calendar (along with Ring of Valor, who handled the spin control much more poorly.) Its unfortunate to be on a server with them, since you either play by their rules, or you get left behind. and their methods are undeniably effective... basically locking up nToV, ST VT for long periods of time before other guilds were able to break in. You have to basically get as far as you can before they try to squeeze you out using their race and camp tactics. If you want to play the high level game, the only option is to kill stuff faster than them. To be accurate, its not so much blocking the spawn, but blocking unlimited access to practice it that they specialize in. One guild can't keep something permanently killed. Its not the time zone advantage... Club Fu has had numerous chances to take Rallos Zek. If you go take something else when he's up... and then complain about poor spawn time. Pretty Funny. If you don't take him when you get the shot, and he's dead the next day. Laughable. Killing Rallos may not "The Priority", but no one is going to leave him up for two weeks for them either given their history of treating other guilds. You kill what you can, when you can. | Australia might be considered by some to be a continent. (uh, like Europe, Asia, or North America in that regard...) Its pretty clear to me that its European though; I mean, it *was* colonized by England of all places. A very clear distinction from a place like the United States that was colonized by, um, hmm, someone else? (/bonk) Last edited by EllessarBard : 01-20-2003 at 04:51 AM. |

Err sorry m8 go back to histroy lestions , Oz was the prison colany, NZ was setailed by the danish, scots and the English, its part of the place called oceania, little info for you, more samoans live in auckland ( nz) than samoa, same for tonga, cook islands. Now even more info going back, Way way back, there are 2 rumors ( well folk tales )with how it was first done, before the pakiha ( white man) came to NZ, its known that the Mori-Ori setiled before the maori people, but they ate them , the Mori Ori are known to have been a red headed race like the scots, its beleaved way way back that a tribe of barbirains from scotland were thrown outa scotland as they were unbeleavabley barbaric, and all the other clans through them out, they traved some how to NZ, the one about the maori people is its the 7 canuos left polynisha , and on the way thy got to a island called rarotanga ( cook islands) the elders felt they could go no further so they stayed there, and the other 6 canuos carried on and settiled NZ, thats why today if ya look at the art work , and even the people of raro / maori, ya cant tell the dif its their slightly as the art work of raro is more tamed, and the raro are not as violant, ( maybe the age thing with the elders hehe), Alot belive this to be the way it happned, and ya cna even follow the art work all the way down truough the islands. anyway normal stuff im dislecsic so sos about the typing and stuff or im here shagging a sheep as i type you decide keke

Second, what jobs are your guildmembers working where you can camp somehting 13 hours then head on off to work? Or look at it this way. you get home from work at say 6pm EST and start playing. Your guild waits 13 hours for the RZ trigger to spawn. isnt 13 hours "THEIR primetime"? Servers are usually up by 12-1pm anyway random timers only go up to 20 hours. SO CLOSE! Oh well i agree was a very entertaining read.

+4 Internets | other Legends about New Zealand I was first found by the God Maui and he named it after a part of his canoe. he was the god that fished the pacific islands out of the ocean back in the day. --- if im not mistaken the 7 canoes came from Samoa (pearl of the pacific) the people that stayed in samoa became Samoan and the others went to the other pacific islands. New Zealand does have alot of Polynesians though. and yeah Australia was the prison colony sorry. rushed my post. ---edit---from www.history-nz.org ) The Maori Maori legends and myths The legend of Maui and the magic fishook. Maui was a demi-god, who lived in Hawaiiki. One day he went out fishing with his brothers, and as they rowed far out into the ocean Maui dropped his magic fishhook over the side of his waka. After a while he felt a strong tug on the line. This seemed to be too strong a tug to be any ordinary fish, so Maui called to his brothers for assistance. After much straining and pulling, up came Te ika a Maui (the fish of Maui), known today as the North Island of New Zealand. Once Maui and his brothers had succeeded in hauling the fish above the ocean waters, Maui leapt upon it, and proceeded to pound the fish to death, with his "mere". The blows the "fish" received from Maui created the many mountains and ranges of the North Island today. Maui also fished up the South Island, which is known as Te Waka a Maui (the waka of Maui). Stewart Island, which lies at the very bottom of New Zealand, is known as Te punga a Maui (Maui's anchor), as it was the anchor which held Maui's waka as he was pulling in the giant fish. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kupe, and the discovery of Aotearoa (New Zealand). Although Maui fished up the North and South Islands, it was the great Polynesian navigator Kupe who discovered them. Kupe lived in Hawaiiki, mythical ancestral homeland of the Maori. In Hawaiiki lived a canoe maker by the name of Toto. Toto fabricated two huge ocean going canoes from a large tree. One canoe he named Aotea and the other he named Matahorua. Toto gave his canoe named Aotea to one of his daughters, Rongorongo, and the other canoe named Matahorua to his other daughter, Kura. It happened that Kupe desired Kura very much. However, Kura was already the wife of Kupe's cousin Hoturapa. When Hoturapa and Kupe were out fishing one day, Kupe ordered Hoturapa to dive down and free Kupe's fishing line, which had become tangled. When Hoturapa dived into the sea to free the tangled line, Kupe sliced through the anchor rope of the canoe, and began to row furiously back to shore. Hoturapa drowned, but his family were suspicious of the circumstances surrounding his death. It was, in fact, a plan on Kupe's part to take Hoturapa's wife Kura. In order to avoid vengeance from Hoturapa's family, Kupe and his own family left Hawaiiki in Kura's canoe Matahorua. After some time of navigating, Kupe's wife Hine te Aparangi sighted the islands of New Zealand, which appeared as land lying beneath a cloud. Because of this, they named the islands Aotearoa, Land of the Long White Cloud. As Kupe and his crew were sailing along the coast of this new land, they disturbed a giant octopus, who was hiding in a coastal cave. Terrified at the sight of a strange canoe filled with human beings, the huge octopus swam rapidly in front of the Matahorua and took flight, passing through the strait between the North and South Islands. Kupe followed the octopus, and discovered modern Cook Strait. Kupe and the Matahorua eventually caught up with the giant octopus. In defence, the octopus whipped its enormous tentacles around the canoe, intent on devouring the whole canoe. During the furious battle which followed with the sea monster, it became obvious that the Matahorua was in great danger of breaking up. However, Kupe suddenly had an idea, and threw a large water gourd overboard. The octopus, thinking that a man had fallen over, released it's tentacles from the Matahorua and turned to attack the gourd. Kupe seized this opportunity, and waited until the octopus was entwined around the gourd. Kupe then attacked the head of the octopus with his adze, and the octopus died. With his adze, Kupe then cut several islands away from the South Island, and several islands away from the North Island, including the island of Kapiti. He remained for a short while in modern Wellington, before continuing northwards up the coast of the North Island, naming various islands, rivers and harbours on the way. Kupe then returned to Hawaiiki, telling everybody of this distant cloud capped and high rising land which he had discovered. He gave instructions on how to return to this new land, but said that he himself would not be returning.

| Of course Oz/NZ are Euro! Everyone there is lobster-pink from sunburn and speaks with a charming colonial accent! The British Empire still lives! The sun never sets! Gunboat Diplomacy! Jolly good! Hip hip hooray! As far as the US goes... ummm, the Spanish colonised it! Yeah, blame them! And the French! Weren't us guv! They only pretend to speak English anyway! ... Spawn times are randomised. Everyone's had the same amount of time to practice on this encounter. Can't see the problem really. |

| Why you come whinning onto other guild boards about problems you have about our server is stupid. But so be it. You(as in Club FU) Have had alot of time to try and kill RZ actually but decided to do other stuff. Just the other night you failed 1 time and decided to leave and goto VT. When they slightly changed the RZ ecounter after we first killed him took us another 3 or 4 nights to relearn the encounter all the time you could of been trying to kill him also. More than one time you have failed once and left. We worked on this encounter for close to 2 weeks with zone in bugs and all 3 or 4 times a night before our first kill. You talk about cockblocking how about you guys killing emp all the time so we only had a shot here and there. And how many other spawns you guys were able to kill and we were not at that time but would kill so we could not even try? Now that the tables are turned and Club FU is not the number 1 guild on the server now they whine and cry. Well suck it up and go get some cheese to go with your wine. We have only killed RZ a total of 4 times and still have some ppl to flag and not 1 sword has dropped for us yet for our War. Call it cockblocking all you want but stop whinning when you guys have had pleanty of chances to try the RZ encounter and decided not to. Blame your leadership who decided to go eleswhere. As for everyone of you who have a problem with Euro grow up. I am an American in the US Air Force stationed in Italy fighting for my country. So I am in a Euro guild and glad I can play this game. +4 Internets | cool. im from hawaii myself so I hear alot of stories about polynesia and all kinds of legends of where everyone came from. I have heard 7 canoes out of egypt, samoa, and somewhere in micronesia. pretty interesting history to follow. only think is that each of the islands have slightly different legends but most are near identical, only slightly changed. like the God Maui is in most of all the histories. along with a few other gods.
