Who cares about the hit points, that thing is so far above every other dual-weild combo known's DPS in existance it doesn't matter.

Course, most 2handers are pretty sick now. Even Emp sword beats every single DW combo I could get so far's DPS heh...

Do you mean you could come up with a better weapon link, or you could come up with a better DW combo? Hitpoints it will be under some of the uberest 1 handers available now, but DPS? Show me a DW combo that would beat it.

I would give up DW in the blink of an eye if that was the replacement.

there is no spell on par with this.

Bear let me clue you in.

As EQ currently stands, caster damage >>> melee damage. Frozboz, myself, and some other wizards set out to prove that wizards didn't "suck" in xp groups, like the myth had it. We logged a ton of fights (raids and xp groups - Frozboz did a ton of work comparing himself to the best melees in the game (FoH)). Guess what we found? Not only were we the #1 damage dealers on raids (often by a 2 or 3 to 1 ratio) we also outdamaged any melees over time in xp groups.

Casters don't need shit to be brought up to melee level, if anything, pure damage dealing melee could us an increase in power to catch us. Wizards with massive focus, max-FT, and all the AA goodies are just insane damage machines, and that's ignoring Mages and Necros who both are immensely powerful in their own right. I'm not calling for a nerf to my chosen class (and one I've played for 3 years now - in about every environment), but I certainly am not crying because monks will get a badass 2h weapon. I have monk friends, that owns for them.
