Ogre frontal stun immunity - Page 2

The fact that Ogres had to put in more effort to level should be enough reason to let them have this advantage. Never mind the fact that the difference is slimed down even more with an AA skill allows you to avoid stuns. So if we all agree stats dont matter, what now do Ogres have as an advantage over other races? They get stunned 1 maybe 2 times less durring a long fight over other races. Even though they did level slower.

Look at Troll and Iksar, they had exp penalties and they still have racial advantages that matter. With the AC cap being shown higher then it was before Iksars might even make the best warriors.

So quit bitching, if anyone has a right to complain its Ogres. They put in more effort and now have almost nothing to show for it other then being butt ugly.

I havent got the link but steelwarrior did tests on this and its only a chance to resist the stun never an immunity so a none ogre gets a chance to resist stuns from any direction including front.

Ogres without the aa get immunity to stun all the time from the front

Ogres with the aa get immunity to stun all the time from the front and an equal chance based on aa skill to avoid other directions.

Everyone had the same chance to get frontal stun immunity. Don't come crying to me because you "chose" to play a race other than ogre.

There are two reasons to play an ogre warrior, and only one good one:

1) You like being an ogre, you like being dumb, fat, ugly, and huggable, you have fun playing an ogre character. This is a damn good reason to play an ogre.

2) You chose an ogre because of starting stats, frontal stun immunity, and slam. You play a game of numbers and efficiency and wouldn't consider playing a character that wasn't the 'best' possible race/class combination. You're no fun.

Then again, it's only an opinion, and everyone did have the same opportunity as everyone else to choose any race/class they wanted, so whining about it is kinda silly, even sillier to whine about others being able to spend experience to gain something that you may have gotten at character creation,.

the whole concept of experience penalty to counterbalance advantages is absurd when there is a maximum level that everyone will reach sooner or later.

That's a just a badly digested D&D inheritance.

No, literally. They are really quite tasty. My secret is that I only use the finest Rump Roast (ASS MEAT) with a little of the Tar Tar sauce. Drink with a fine White Wine or Vodka.

Furor, once upon a time I really respected you, but ogre with white wine should be deemed a crime against (culinary) humanity. Ogre is definitely a red wine dish.

first of all, leveling an ogre warrior is not significantly harder than leveling any other race... why do people keep harping on this.

2. The size disadvantage of the ogre is really a moot point with the shrink items being readily available now.

3. the faction problems with ogre class... again minuscule. Faction is not an issue anymore.

4. Ogres already receive warrior class stat bonuses for being so big and having poor faction.

Basically there is no reason why all warriors at lvl 65 should not have frontal stun immunity.

Wierd idea:

Ogres have a frontal stun immunity over a wide arc.

What about giving other warriors a not as wide arc of frontal stun immunity? So, they have to be directly facing the mob, as opposed to facing in the general direction.
