| Something I've noticed with PoP, and a question. Well, i won't lie when I say I haven't experienced much pop content, I will admit it's pretty fun for the low stuff I have had the chance to be with. I've noticed something however that is very very different then the trend in kunark, and velious. Raid-target mobs (again, for the lower plains) appear to have very low hp, a decent minumum hit, and a whopping maximum hit (again, for anyone who's geared in lower stuff.) I was wondering if this trend continues all the way up in PoP to the content you've reached to date? I've honestly found it refreshing as compared to the long raids of high hp mobs with a constant damage output.

| Most stuff in PoP has grossly lower mitigation ability then Luclin stuff, a 100k hp PoP mob will take much less time to kill then a 100k hp Luclin mob for the most part. The insane damage output from PoP comes from the fact that SoE has sorta drawn a blank with new AoEs and scripted event fights so they are falling back on disgusting amounts of mob DPS to create challanges. They tried very high HP mobs but found that as soon as you get into the swing of things the fights degraded into "AFK need a drink" midfight from the MT. They tried ring events and still use them too much in PoP but the sorta heard the cry of "Ring events fucking blow".

| Not all scripted events are completely awful, it's just very dependent on the imagination of the encounter designer. Not having each encounter just become setting up and whacking the next loot pinata seems fine to me. Some are quite over-the-top though, re:Vulak. |

| If you look closely you can notice your hits. Max hit on Agnarr: 120ish Max hit on cursed: 35ish. Thats the difference. And I think mobs like AD, with a little more excitement to them, are a blast compared to other fights. Something different = something fun. Parum |
