+4 Internets | Changing the max duration doesnt matter Without the neg 100 resist adjustment your charms wont be lasting anywhere near the 20.5 mins that they could before so having that as a max duration becomes purely academic. If, by some miracle of the RNG, the charm doesnt break by the time you are approaching the max duration for the charm you simply recast the spell to refresh the max duration. |

| I see nowhere that duration will be a set of time, they just reduced the max duration. A fixed duration would be way overpowered. You cant refresh a charm, you cant cast any other detrimental effect on your charmed pet either.

| Lin, Pets can't take agrro from anyone in melee range ![]() Being a 65 enc with 175 aa's i solo very well with CoD, HOWEVER I rarely solo unless i cannot find a group. I love to use my charm to help my guild become stronger. Now if u ask me xp in a group should be much more xp then solo SO if vi wants to stop ALL this "CRY NERF" they will do just that give REAL bonuses to groups. Just one Chantresses Opinion. | What the COD 'nerf' should be First lets look at slows. Currently they set your attack speed to base attack speed modified by the percent slow. No equipment or buffs have any effect on your attack speed while slowed. This should be changed to instead percent slow your real attack speed after including equipment and buffs. This would mean haste buffs and items actually mean something in encounters where a majority of people end up slowed. Currently a naked unbuffed person has the same attack speed as somebody fully equiped and buffed. Next to fix how overpowered charm is on groups of mobs with high DPS and low HP add a 50% slow to all the top charms. This would fix a lot more situations in which the current nerfs on test fail to address and fix a long standing oddity with respect to how slows function. |

| lol call of the arch mage was WAYY overpowered i was doing 800 DPS yesterday in BoT with a muzzled/BO5'd pet soloing 3 giants at once without breaking a sweat i would tear through jord militis's in like 30 seconds with a pet it was insane until the charm broke and the pet would hand me my ass (of course) -juggs |

| If I ever get the mage charm (Call of Archmage) I would most likely never even use it. Its good in one zone, BoT. Also lowering the max duration to 7.5 minutes completley ruined it.

| Was really fun last night watching our two CoD'd giants tank named 2nd floor giants last night better than our Warrior did while losing no DPS and zero risk (if one charm broke it just turned to the other giant) so those who couldn't do ranged damage had to sit out of the fight. I agree with Furor, the nerf could've been much worse, like a cap on max hit/hit points on charmed mobs or something like they did with Dire Charm or something else. |

| commentary Someone on test mind checking to see if muzzle still works on the mobs? I wouldn't leave it past them to forget about item hastes and just clamp spell hastes. Also, it appears that making charmed mobs unhasteable won't affect swarm kiting, and neither will the new shorter durations. Enterprising necros are still in excellent shape. Olio |
