If the item itself was a rare drop in the elemental planes, it would be worth it in terms of RVR....having to do annoying quests collecting rare as hell drops puts it totally out of the range of being worth the trouble.

Even as a regular drop in the elemental planes, the screenshot on the main page is a hopelessly poor item. Whoever made that needs to either a) start playing EQ or b) go through the entire raid loot list from Kunark onwards and look at wht they're doing. I realise mistakes have been made in the past with loot *over*balance (Primal), which makes it hard to itemise in a linear fashion, but really... this is just ridiculous.
