| This shit... should have been done in Grieg's way back when, it's where it belongs, and where it would have made (twisted) sense. Getting him to 30% with a 50% haste on is quite the accomplishment, at the very least it prevented you fom killing him on the first (real?) try. But now... it's done, no one will ever intentionally cast slow on him again. |

| or maybe SOE are just stupid mother fuckers who dont like what slow allows shaman to do, after all we are one of 3 classes that can solo in BoT, and we dont even have to have new spells to pull it off. But, the fastest way i see to get this fixed is fucking people over repeatedly untill Verant is forced to remove it.

| "Sooo... Did TR have "inside infoz" in order to kill Fennin before the slow messages went in??" No, in fact we killed fennin twice while he was hasted with tagars, the healing we used for this was crazy, and the 3rd kill was after the last patch and we never made an attempt to "slow" and he was considerably easier. |

Shaman can already make mana at a very high rate when they choose to do nothing but that. Adding heals identical to a druids currently heals to the shaman line up wouldn't effect our mana regen rate at all. It's already efficient enough and with the right aa more efficient to use torpor or quiescence with canning that it would be to use those heals. To get the full healing of the druid lvl 58 heal you need to be at 3900hps or more otherwise the 75% limitation kicks and and decreases it's efficiency. Definitely do able raid buffed but not simple self buffed or unbuffed. With a druids lvl 64 heal that jumps up to 6240hps to get the full potential for being healed something that even raid buffed is not achievable for the vast majority of the shaman out there. These are just the bare min numbers needed to be able to get the full healing from the mentioned spells. Realistically to have a descent chance of using these heals safely you would either need to not be in combat or you would want more hps. Standing at 25% hps or less for 10 seconds while i cast a spell on myself hoping i don't get hit by an ae, aggroed by some add, somehow end up below frenzy hp lvl or get interupted in order to generate mana doesn't sound very safe to me or something most people would ever do. Not to mention how many healers in your group would end up healing you. On the other hand even with maxed out aa torpor only heals 1800hps and it takes 36 seconds to do that healing allowing additional time to cann to convert mana into hps so you don't even have to be down that many hps when you cast it on yourself. Torpor or Quiescence allow you to keep your hps at a much safer lvl, you don't have to convert nearly as much hps into mana to allow yourself to heal (over 3 minutes to conver 4khps into mana BTW with out aa skill) and with aa skills and focus items its much more efficient and only a 3 second casting spell as opposed to a 10 second spell. The druid heals also limit how close to max mana you can get using them to heal yourself. Since they are direct heals the closest you can come is 400 or 600 mana (ignoring specialization and SCM mana savings) depending on which spell you use. With torpor the cost of the spell is down to 200 and since you can cann after you cast the spell and still get healed you can get all the way up to full mana and health using it. Shaman already have thier heal for converting hps into mana thanks. Torpor and Quiescence are very effective for that and Quiescence is practically ideal with the lack of side effects. Since we obviously already have effecient heals for making mana that couldn't have been the reason for gimping our heals so it must have been our damage mitigation abilitys with slows. Since those are being tuned back and improvement in our corresponding heals is only appropriate. | |
