Serverfilter fixed? and always on?

Last night during out raid, I noticed my throughput never got much over 2000. We had approximately 55-60 people. I had the typical settings of no melee hits or misses on. I tried turning the filter on and off and noticed no difference in performance. But I know before this last patch, my throughputs were usually 5000-8000 depending on what's going on.

Anyone else notice this?

Since they've been telling us in various places that they were working on fixing it, I doubt they'd stealth fix it.

I noticed this as well, and it made a huge difference we had close to 80 people on our raid. I think we maybe had 1-2 LD's the whole night compared to 20 or so we usually have.

Supposedly they are compressing even more of the data stream if not all of it now..

I have always had a /serverfilter on hot key made.

On the random times i start to lag or ping, hitting the /serverfilter hot key for the past few years has always brought me out of lag.

Now, i understand that it does not work as intended, but it does do something when you use it.

I turned it on tonight and my numbers dropped from 4kish to 400. At the peak of a 60 person raid it didn't rise above 2k. Whatever they did, it is a huge improvement.
