Patch has come and gone and still a problem with elemental armor Verant, you need to fix pure melee elemental armor. As it stands now we get the same hp as hybrids (cept warriors who get 15 more) but hybrids get tons of mana as well, this isn't fair or right. What needs to happen is one of the following 3. 1. Up the hp on pure melee elemental armor to be fair considering we don't get mana. 2. Up the resists on pure melee armor for the same reason. 3. Give us dodge/riposte/parry mods alongside the effect to represent that we are pure melee and don't use mana. Thanks Arralen Solace 65 Rogue Silent Redemption

Kreugen, What precisely is idiotic about being concerned that the same mold creates a more beneficial advantage for one group of people than it does for another? I mean, I realize I'm an idiot and all, but since I am, I'm obviously not bright enough to know why, can you please help me understand my idiocy? Also, please use short words, or I may get confused.

Pure melees don't need more on their armor :/ When you decided to roll a pure melee, you decided to follow a purely melee progression. A Rogue does more damage than a Paladin. A Warrior tanks better than a Shadow Knight. A Monk outdamages and out tanks a Ranger. You are lucky as a pure melee to be able to avoid having to balance the demands that hybrids have to balance. Does a hyrbid getting the same amount of hit points and some mana affect you as a pure melee? Does that overpower them? Does that make them intrude upon your role as a pure melee? If so, it needs to be addressed. I don't believe it is so. Having to raise mana to be useful is a limitation of hybrid classes, not a benefit. Pure melees have enough on that armor as it is. The hybrids aren't going to edge you out of your role just because they got some more mana. And who says all items need to benefit every class to the same level anyway? So far there's been lots of daggers in PoP, a few decent monk weapons, and at least one cool warrior sword. What do the hybrids get that comes close to those items? (besides 14,234 fucking bows) A Beastlord isn't gonna get the same use out of Battle Fists as a monk. Is that fair? No? It's called balance.

All the Pure melee armor owns now. The arms and legs were the only pieces that really had craptastic effects and now they were replaced with some own effects. Some hybrids are complaining the pure melee armor is too good. Some pure melee are complaining the hybrid armor is too good. Seems to me this means they are just about right.

+9 Internets | I don't see the problem with the elemental pieces They seem fairly decent. Wasting time on class envy at this point is counterproductive. Maybe near the end of the expansion. At this point, though, we're seeing shit like: ![]() Huh? Who is the person responsible for creating items? I don't give a shit what drops this - it's in an elemental plane, it says WAR only, the AC is fucking insulting. Of course there are more examples of this occurance. It's all over the place. |

(It appears the PoP AC cap, at least for Warriors and probably for all other classes, is much higher than in previous expansions, tho the tests are just starting over at The Steel Warrior - thus Furor not being happy by AC25 pieces.)

Why do you find a piece of armour insulting? Have you been demanded to wear it? and that your guild will dissolve if you dont parade it? I feared what the may have done with gear with the release of PoP, and that is one of the items I actually liked.

Destinae, I think they will get around to fixing or making new armor graphics about the same time they start adding servers again. One of the things that made EQ great IMO was the eye candy, no matter how cartoonish it was. It would be far too intelligent of VI to come up with new graphics for armor. For example, the priest slippers off of the Emperor have no graphic on them. Congrats to those of us with them on playing for years and looking like we're still level 1, in cloth. I remember one of Furor's rants about how it would be fantastic for end game players to not look like a newly opened box of Crayola's. My only wish in EQ anymore is to be one fucking color, preferable not bright green or purple. Screw the stats, I want to be pretty. Lallaloramin
