| Setting the record straight That is the picture of my setup, and I am the SK in question on Drinal. Character name: Gomorrha de'Sade 1) I am a neurosurgeon. This is no bullshit. I started playing EQ March 30,1999 or thereabouts (had a Troll SK initially on the CT server but changed to MM and made a DE SK). I was in training at the time, the last few years of my residency program. Finished residency in June, 2000 and then did a 1 year fellowship in SPine surgery. 2) I nearly quit at level 19. My odd working hours and lack of play time kept me from making progress compared to other people I knew and I got frustrated. Then I thought that perhaps if I got another character to run myself I could do better. I had a spare shitty comp but at the time it was good enough to run EQ. So botting was born. 3) As time has gone on, and as I gained in levels, my auto-group was lacking in key areas, which I shored up by adding new bots. Not all of them were PL'd from scratch - some were given by guild members who left the game and some were purchased. 4) I have been in a few guilds, none of them (until the current guild I am in) would have been considered "high end" guilds. I played EQ on my own terms and enjoyed it quite a bit. However since the release of PoP, I found myself stuck since all my bots were 65 and I had really only 2 planes to hunt - PoS PoV. So I applied to a high end raid guild on my server and am currently a trial member. 5) It IS possible to do the work of a neurosurgeon and play EQ. First of all, I play EQ for fun, and although I have been playing a lot lately since joining my new guild, I usually average 4 nights a week of playing. Any weekend I am not on call, I am usually goofing off on EQ for a few hours on Saturdays and most of Sunday. I don't have a wife or kids, and don't have any serious relationships since my last one ended with BS psychodrama. 6) My current group is 65 SHD SHM CLR ENC DRU ROG. Fairly balanced, but lacking a certain Ooomph in the DPS department. 7) No cross-server stalking plz thx la~ 8) Cost of gear is probably around 25k. 9) I don't drive a shitbox beater car. Gom |

| This really is reasonable. That setup, for people who have a good jobs and expendable income, is really not out of the question. I work in computer research, and so I have access to tons of cutting edge equipment, some of which makes it back to my house. My company knows all about it and it is perfectly ok, mostly because I use my equipment for real company related projects as well. It is a neat shot, and I guess I expect the kind of response it has gotten.

| Furor ROFL! What color is the sky in your world? Do you accept the possibility that you COULD perhaps just once be WRONG? I did my residency training in Oklahoma City. 1 year internship in General Surgery, then 5 years of Neurosurgery. Why don't you go ask your daddy a question about neurosurgery or neurology and see if'n I can answer it if you truly still don't believe. Here's Furor (X) Here's a clue (Y) Never the two shall meet. | Multiboxing can be hard on the person doing it. When I first power leveled myself to 60 I had a setup for 4 pcs. I had access to a 50 cleric, shaman, war, druid, enc. Depending on the situation I would use diffrent combinations. The hardest thing for a multi boxer to do is run more then one melee. This is because it requires more interation wth the pc keyboard and causes alot of stress at times. When I leveled with my ranger I use these combos. NFP Guards 51-53 Ranger(person being leveled), Cleric, Shaman, War The method was simple, setup a spot out of any training range and then pull using my main. Once the mob was inc I made sure it was on me before casting any spells to prevent another char from being beat on. This was normally easy since a ranger snare was an auto taunt at the time. Everything was just setup with hot keys, 1 target me, 2 stand, 3 cast cheal, 4 sit. It did not require even looking at the pc at all. The Shaman using similar, 1 assist me, 2 stand, 3 pet attack, 4 cast dot, 5 sit. In this situation I used another melee because I needed more dmg output. So I used a 50 war to help with that and he never main tanked since it was too hard with the current setup. Solb Bats/Bugs 53-54 Ranger, Cleric, Shaman, Enc Because of multiple inc and the speed spell an enc was needed for effective use. It is by far the hardest to multibox an enc which requires mezes. The poor enc which I borrowed died several times by mistakes(BTW I still thank Djiz for the use of his enc during this.). 54-55 Burning woods Ranger, Cleric, Shaman, Druid The druid was brought in for this because of the extra nuking. 55-56 Karnars castle Ranger, Cleric, Shaman, Enc Once again the enc was a must and this was a extremly hard place to multi box. Mostly because of the trains and adds without notice. 56-59 Permafrost Polar Bear pit Ranger, Cleric, Shaman, Druid This was BY far the best place ever to multi box. Mobs did not roam near the pull spot so worse case you could camp the cleric and nothing saw invi. Shaman slow here was key. 59-60 Dwarf Guards Ranger, Cleric, Shaman, Druid I went for Max output here so I could clear the guards fast. They had alot of hp and although they could not be slowed the shaman pet and buffs were needed. Anyway with that said the key thing to Multiboxing is keeping it simple. Casters are much easier then melee to multibox. Having a safe non train area is key as well because no one can run 4 chars out of a zone very fast if things go bad. In the beginning multiboxing was alot harder then it is now. When I leveled a char on another server to 60 I used a program call Xylobot and it made it 10x easier. |

| Furor I never claimed to be a power-gamer. I agree with you that there is no way for me to devote that kind of time to this game. In the 3.7 years that I have been playing this game, I have been largely unguilded or in small low-key guilds. Before joining my present-day guild, the hardest mob I had ever helped to kill was Telkorenar. I don't consider myself to be an "uber." I've never set foot into VT. I've never even set foot into NToV. I'm all about efficiency, and the reason I 6-box is that I hate /ooc'ing LFG and wasting minutes or hours waiting for a spot to open up. So I just log on my group and away we go. I'm not here to get into some pissing contest with you, Furor, or to try to compare penis sizes. I am just stating it the way it is. So take me at my word or continue believing you are always right. Gom |

| This Gomorrha fellow doesnt claim he plays 7 hours a day. Hell he said he only plays a few hours on the weekend I'm curious in what profession you work at furor. You play 5+ hours a day, so you must be doing meaningless tasks. |
