| Even if those aren't the top of the line flat panel monitors. They are still abotu $500-600 each since they have "S O N Y" on them. And we all know that jsut having the letters on them makes them that much better. All kidding aside, that guy has around $4-5K in "monitors" alone including the TV on the wall behind everything. Then since he has about 6 Systems running Luclin graphics , the avg cost of his system I would put at around $800-$1200. I know that Cooler Master case on the ground set him back a few hundred alone, but for fucks sake lets jsut say he has $6-8K in Computers. ALSO he has 2 laptop on that desk which were at least $1500+ each. So thats another $3-4K. All said in done we got an est. - 6 Accounts @ $12.95 a month. = $77.70/mth for EQ - 6 Copies of Trilogy ( I est this because it has EQ/Kunark/Luclin in it) @ $29.99 ea = $179.94 + tax - 6 Copies of Luclin and PoP @ $59.98 for both = $359.98 + tax Plus all hardware at estmated prices in that room GRAND TOTAL ESTIMATED IN THAT ROOM = $13617.62-17617.62 BUT the best part is I am still a bigger fag for taking the time to guestimate ALL that shit! So how about that!

| To Woodash or whatever your name is. You called BULLSHIT on Thand. The only thing Thand was wrong about is that the guy in question (Janakin) 8 boxes EQ not 9. His main is a fairly well decked out 65 warrior, and I am sure he could kill certain dragons and clear fear without a problem.

| He runs a SK, Cleric, Chanter, Rogue, Shaman, Druid, and Warrior simul, although usually leaves the warrior home on raids since he's the only one that's not 65. As far as his ability to run them... he runs more smoothly than a lot of groups I've been in before, it's all in the practice I suppose. |

| MultiBoX AE you could easily MultiBox an AE group : ) Get all wireless keyboards and set them all to one channel, set up the hotkeys so that you can spam nukes/stuns/heals~ might want chanters on one channel, cleric on another, nukers on a third channel, 6 characters 3 keyboards~ pretty easy, for regular xp grouping you could just set up a puter and run a macro since its "allowed" as long as its not unattended. But thats still alot of information processing to be done by one person, very doable though |

+25 Internets | Even if the guy did spend ~20K on that set up, that isn't enough to even buy a halfway decent sports car, which is commonly accepted as being cool or whatever. I wouldn't do it myself, but hey, hobbies can get expensive . |

| Aye. Say the guy is single with no kids. Dishing out 13-20 grand on computers aint shit. Most parents buy their kids cars that cost about that much. Shit, a younger friend of mine, whos dad is a not-too-successfull heart-surgeon just bought him a brand new, deluxe edition (the white one) landrover discover for making a 4.0 in his first semster at college (at an easy college, easy classes, what a joke.) yes, the kid is a spoiled brat, and even if my dad offered me that,i would say no because that is rediculus. but the point is, no the pic isnt photoshopped, and if the guy is into it, he can spend as much money as he wnats. but the whole point of EQ is intereacting with other people. i dont see where playing by yourself would be much fun ..??

| once you get over 3 chars its easier to have a separate machine for each character... the reason is that you don't need to look at the clerics computer at all to know the 1 button ch's your warrior, the 2 quick heals the chanter... for one thing there isn't time to look at the screen or remember that the wizard happens to be in front, alt tab to cleric and press 1... i've done 4 chars on 2 comps, and it was to much work, the easiest setup for me has been 3 chars on 3 comps, and if i needed more damage throw the wizard on the tanks computer where i'll atl-tab to start a nuke and tab back quickly... the only ones getting attention are the chanter and tank, the others are all macro'd... the more habitual it becomes, the easier it is... only done this once since pop came out tho =( i think he's got a kick ass setup thats definitely workable... fizzle's are your worst enemy!
