Just curious what keeps you guys playing? - Page 2

Main reason I play for as much as I do is simple. I go to school MWF from 9-1, then come home. Most of my friends work from 1- 10, or 9-5. I don't start working until March, so as most of my friends are gone, I'm home all day except days I go to school. Doesn't matter though, because on days I go to school, most are just leaving for work by the time I get home. As I have pretty much nothing to do during the day, I either play three characters (monk, beastlord, cleric), or play just monk and play Axis and Allies, or X-Com, or whatever the game of the week is this week on second comp.

The problem then is friends are wanting to do stuff at the time we start raiding, so this usually ends up with me attending raids drunk.

I could go hang out at the gym, spend 80 dollars a month on testosterone supplements, buy three 40 dollar belts from Abercrombie, then go back next week and buy 4 more so I have a different one to wear everyday of the week, dye my hair, hang out at parties everynight that ultimately just get busted, try to start fights with random people every week just so I can look cool, all because I worry about what other people think. Rather than becoming a pretentious asshole like you, I would rather do what I enjoy and not what others think I should.

I started playing Everquest in August of 99, and continue to play to this day. I've managed to stay with the same girl this whole time, and she hates EverQuest. So call me and anyone else that plays the game losers, because I guarantee no one cares about what you have to say to them. Do whatever it takes to make you feel important so you can get yourself through the day. When you are talking to your state appointed psychiatrist this week about how you've spent 1200 dollars this year on clothes, hung out at all of the parties (uninvited) and still can't get a girlfriend, think hard about who really is pathetic.

I'm sure that since you are so popular and have so many friends and no time to waste on Everquest, you SURELY won't respond to this for at least a few days. But, in reality, you'll probably post a reply within 5 minutes.
