| Just an observation... Any other bards kinda' get this feeling in the pit of your stomach that it's a little fucked up that there's a seperate buff box being added for songs with the unspoken sentiment being, "We like songs, we just don't like having to clear out real buffs for them."? Because that's kinda' the feeling I get. Not complaining, though... sometimes I get annoyed with my songs taking up buff slots, too. =\ |

| I can’t believe a bard is complaining about this. The devs never go out of their way to code something specific for bards, unless they are nerfing us. A buff box for songs is a huge deal. It's also 3 years late but what the hell. They aren’t saying that songs aren’t important enough to clear out regular buffs for them, they have just finally realized that a good chunk of the people that play are too stupid and/or lazy to click off their useless buffs for bard songs. |

+2 Internets | BOB VERANT HATES MY CLASS! He's always nerfing me and breaking me on purpose! He made my CH's only heal 7500 and my level 9 spell isn't godly anymore! I can't exploit a bug and stack 800 buffs/debuffs now! I'm not an amazing tank in tissue paper while everyone else has to wear plate! My class can't solo! Every other class does more damage! Another class is stealing my job, my *BUZZWORD!* Class-Defining-Ability! I HATE BOB VERANT AND ALL HE STANDS FOR!!!!! That about cover it?

| if it lasts 36 seconds or less its not a buff, its a heal over time catigory spell. I hate to lose something else to make room for it, but its value is unmistakeable. PS, after your dead, I'd rather have 14 real buffs than suddenly losing 30% of my current buffs. bards are not a buffing class in the classical sense, I would call them combat buffs at least. Personally I dont know why bards dont have some songs that can get stuck in your head ![]() |

| I don't know if this is how it is going to work but I feel that this box should be used for any 'temporary' spell. Like Celestial Healing, Divine Aura, Yaulp, and bard songs. Why would they fill a 'permament' spot? I would not feel useless or looked down upon if I had a Cleric only box. To me it would be 'Class-Defining' (hehe I used a gay phrase). Bards are broken every so often and I feel sorry for you guys. This is not a breaking thing (hopefully) but it is a helpful thing to most of the EQ community and you not wanting because you think it is 'classist' (did I coin a play on words with racist?) is the most pathetic whining I have heard in a while. |

+2 Internets | I believe they stated it will take any spell 3ticks or less in duration. Meaning bard songs almost exclusively. "Any buff in the new buff box is considered temporary and will not be saved when you zone. Because of this, we are not planning to put too many things into this buff box, mostly just 3 tick bard songs. Right now that does include the bard DA song (though not other Divine Aura-type spells), though we'll see how that works out on Test."

| ... Haven't played in quite some time.. but this sorta sounds like the first step in fixing bard stacking. If they haven't already. I just remember before I left the devs at the time decided that MAYBE they could fix bardbuff stacking sploits.. but it'd be way more time than it was worth. It was one of the few times I remember them saying "Horribly fubarbed and we really don't care" rather than "working as intended"! Course, that's been a while.. and maybe they've already fixxed that mess. ![]() |
