| "*Koraf tells the group* the japs will never learn lower guk". Haha yea right. EQ was best for me when I did not know about *zonewalls* ahhhhh the best. Kerra island, blackburrow, befallen. All pretty scary zones for a newcomer. Me, Tdira, Camdar, Axhine, a Japanese bard that refused to wear anything but fine steel plate, name started with an M I think. Oh, remember the female bard that was the first one in full plate at like lvl 14 due to crafting weapons? Own, she was about as popular as when Zamtil became the first bazillionair when they patched jewelcraft. Remember levelling in the plains of Karana in beta before they put sound in? Nothing like giants sneaking up on ya, or trying to jump/jump/jump away from lions and bears. Remember the first time you ran from Qeynos to Freeport, just to say you had done it? Or the 45 minute time for the boat in Freeport to arrive? Remember in beta seeing PcFan running around as a player character? Or when you had to press the meditate button for casters to med, and could see nothing but the open spellbook? Haha. *Kalaran tells the guild-I would rather let my corpse rot under the efreeti than let Koraf and his band of F-ups come and bail us out* Senir's constant moaning and groaning about wizards being weak. Getting the last piece for the BB Hammer, the GM tells me if I turn it in I will get rewarded, I turn it in and he gives Kreugen a BB Hammer then poofs. I still want my prize! Ulik dinging to lvl 20 then shouting to Oasis (all 5 of us) that he is now going to attempt to solo a giant, rofl never seen him run so fast. I'll stop now. -edit- oh, your first uber encounter was Avatar of Fear baby...oh yea, ruby BP inc. Last edited by Krimson Klaw : 01-11-2003 at 11:26 AM. |

Anyone from Veeshan remember the original Mithril Circle, before it turned into a Japanese guild? Was myself (Cyril, a bard at the time), Methodious (later joined FoH, was my roommate in college), Malyous, Talax, and a dwarven warrior named Gorogogg (who turned out to be a dev). I think Tdira was even in the guild for like 2 days, and then he/she got fed up being the only cleric and quit. I remember myself and Malyous stopping 20+ lizard trains in Cazic using bard mez, before it got nerfed. Bard mez owned for the first few weeks. I also remember when they put berserk in for warriors, all the warriors were getting pissed when people healed them because they wanted to go berserk. Good times =p Last edited by Kaxmax : 01-11-2003 at 03:07 PM. | |

| The main thing most people in FoH have to remember was the time period we were doing our Nag/Vox then PoF Rush... Man we had those kills down so bad its not funny. Nag first because there were a few guids who would try him and keep dying for a few house. So we log into solb, run, buff, kill nag. On a good day 30 min. Vox next because no one tried her for loot and she was harder. After nag kartak yelling get your butts to perma. So we gate run to perma pull giants as people are comming, move up buff and kill vox. 30 min on a good day. Next was pof which no one on the server could break. So we move to pof gate and we would normally lose a few people because the breakin groups are the time took a few trips to open pof. Zone in 2 groups invi, run to ledge kill what comes and if antyhing else comes furor or someone else would train them until we killed what we had. Gate out, rebuff and add anyone who died, come back do it again. After this a few times pof was open and we had ever group in it took a few hours to clear it. Normally this was later at night and we then kill CT at the end.. We did this about once every 2-3 days and if someone actually counted how many we killed I would be shocked. I estimate we kill nag atleast 80 times during this period. Still a record if you ask me. Then PoH opened and we had something new, then PoA opened and we had something else new.. |

| Good shit... Krim, I think Lani was the chick bard you were talking about being a rich beyotch. Those were good times. I remember the times that Elderan refer to. Mages were so gay and useless back then and I had access to so many different guildmates accounts so I logged on a different character for each raid. Binur or Calaban for Nagafen, Bartab for Vox, and Iden for fear breaks. I was a multi character playin mofo back in the day. Fear breaks were the best though. Did I see a SS of Balyn ? If I remember he was the first person I ever really hated in EQ. He and his wife/gf Marrylyyn maybe ? It's funny looking back to I actually felt hatred for a toon. Lol and Nunnehi, what a homo. Good times man, good times. Cam |

| Karanis cashed out BIG time. He came close to the record (which stood at around $10,000 back then). Back in those days, putting an FoH character on eBay would net you at least $2,000. Probably more, depending on your gear and your class. The funny thing is, though, that our guild fosters in its members an amazing sense of duty. eBayers have been the exception for FoH, rather than the rule. The clear majority of die-hard FoHers retire their characters when they leave the game. Personally, I'd hate to see some eBaying gimp running around on the character into which I poured that many years of my life. I think the feeling is mutual among most of us.

| It's kinda funny to think that FoH once wiped to Naggy and Vox. I know those where back in the "Old Days" but it's just seems amusing w/ everything thats happened in EQ. Never mind I'll just STFU.

For those that have never got to group with Kal/Furor back in the day when he was actually low lvl and trying to get exp. You've never exp what getting exp actually is. I remember first time I met him in Beta in Cazic. Was in a group about lvl 22 with 1 cleric, 2 warriors(Lleluvyn and me) and a DE rogue and sometimes Koraf(think he was Troll/Ogre Warrior/SK in beta, don't remember which now). Kal and Nino where there around lvl 40 trying to get rubi. But they didn't care to kill all the other lizards. So Kal is pulling 3 and 4 lizards outside to the main area for us. THere is only our group and one other group there. And when Kal puls he doesn't wait for you to kill and heal, he pulls nonstop. I don't think I was over 45% hp for 3 or 4 days straight but we never died thanks to nino throwing a helping heal every so often. We were getting 3-4 lvls a day, which in beta was pretty damn nice. Then finally they get all the Rubi. I wish I still had those pics but they are on my old HD that crashed. Nino as a halfling cleric in all rubi, looking like a fire hydrant. Sadly that was like a week before beta ended, only got to party with him a few times when he brough me and Lleluvyn to Lower Guk with him and Nino. Was just amazed at the differnce he played compared to everyone else and have no idea how the hell nino kept him alive. Then I went back to my Shit ass guild I was in after release. After a week of 50 guys wanting to group up to kill rats, and going to FOH websites where these guys are already in there late teens, I had to move over to Veeshan and join FoH.
