WoW system req's and graphics engine

The graphics engine seems to look like WC3's engine alot, just tweeked up a bit, my question is this

is this the WC3 engine?
if not, what are the system requirements going to be?

no one here can probably answer the 2nd question, but, i just think its something to think about.

Knowing how good Blizzard is with system specs, I don't imagine it will be THAT high.

I imagine older machines will be able to run the game very very well.

Just judging on how well and smooth Warcraft 3, expansion, etc runs on older machines and cards, I'd imagine that's a good sign.

I believe there was an interview a while back with a WoW dev stating they were able to run several clients smoothly on a single 800mhz system with their current build(at the time of the interview).

They did but it was like on an early client, 1 character alone with nothing fancy equipped, in a private world or something along those lines. They pointed those details out themselves, at that time. The final product is going to be good but probably not that efficient.

Blizzard understands the economics of multi boxing.

Wish there would be a mmorpg where you would could play several characters. For many its great fun.Sucks to pay several accounts just to get that.

edit, mainreason i still play at offhoursl is i can multibox.Hard to get groups these days for any class.
