I remember 2 bugs well..

1 was when Kunark was just released, if you attacked a burynaibane spider once, turned off combat mode, and sat up and down rapidly it would summon a level 49 Earth pet for some reason that was under your control. Power leveled a lot of chars using him.

The other one was the infamous bug that let pet classes summon infinite pets.

Several months after Kunark release they removed the bug where you were able to sit down during casttime. Not just with clickables but with all spells.

In the era before FT, uber Clarity and focus items, stuff like that actually made a difference. Clerics could save a lot of mana sitting during their CH casttimes.

The resulting change that went in though was very nice...the ability to interupt your spells immediately

Not sure if I posted this, or if someone did already. Res bugging yourself with buffs up. This was great. I know it worked with speed buffs, and levitate buffs. I want to say it might have worked with some stat buffs, but I can't remember for sure. We used to use this a lot in Sky. You die, get res'd, get sow, get lev, then get res'd again. You have permanent lev and sow until you die or zone/log and it didn't even take up spell slots. We would go to windmill from island one and then run to the 3rd island, bypassing the difficult pre-kunark island 2. We would also use lev to pull Djorn to island 3 to kill, ahh the good old days. Golden Efreeti armor on your monk anyone?

Xegony was never known for having any real big powerhouse of a guild or alliance, not bad, just not FoH, AL, Trition, etc type stuff. I always felt like our Sky achievements showed there were skilled players, since Sky showcased skill and organization over numbers. Anyone remember pre-kunark how far anyone made it? I remember making it to two islands after spirocs pre-kunark I believe, been so damn long. Man, that zone was the epitome of a challenging zone. Think about it, I'm sure FoH and others will admit that is where we saw a lot of tactics in use today, first developed. That was where we first saw big hitting mobs, split on death mobs, etc etc. Really was a showcase for the future.

I remember the first time we killed an ENTIRE horse-split from island 4. Had like 50 people with 60 percent casualties.

First time we killed Dojorn he also had the Wind Etched Paladin armor, which ended up being superior to the kunark armor and at least in terms of stats, closer to velious armor. This was pre-kunark.

I second the Burynai spider bug. How the fuck would anyone figure that out, even through chance? It makes no fucking sense. Sounds like an exploit a developer purposely put in so his friends could use it.

Wasnt EA...they wiped on Azrick island with 100 people ;p

Was SS/CN/DA/RP...the original BFA formed to completely destroy anything in the game ;p We got the wind etched helm...then the next week they removed that armor and replaced it with the freeti armor.

That is incorrect. The spider would 'proc' the pet at you during the fight. The spider was something like lvl 7, so you had to make sure not to kill it by accident with the first blow. Druid melee was sufficient ... /cough. While the whole thing was aparently pointless for a level 50+ druid, I can imagine that having such a pet at lvl 10 was probably a great asset. Btw, the weapon you see on the melee button was actually a Mistwalker Scimitar which makes it especially fitting to this thread
