Heh, a friend of mine tried to do the same thing in oasis to powerlevel his brother and his brother went LS about 30 minutes after summoning the pet. Ahh, good times, good times.

And yeah, the way I heard it, one of Furor's original characters was banned when caught transfering no drop fear stuff to a guildie in a forge.

I think Mistwalkers were nerfed 6 or 7 times before Verant was done with them. They made it so you couldn’t buff pets with < 10 hps, but you could give a MW pet a +hp item to get him over that and buff away. They fixed that but I think people were still coming up with creative ways to buff them so Verant finally coded them to die after one attack round. The real shame of it is that Verant shied away from adding really cool toys to the game after that.

It's still highly sought after by rangers just for the "rareness" of it. Goes from 60-100k, if you practice long enough you can proc it at the end of a fight and you still have the pet till you fight again so you can walk around and show it off.

Always been known in the ranger community as the "scimitar of the nerfwalker".

I remember a vox raid we had like 2 or 3 mistwalker pets all buffed up and ready to go(Was EA back then). Forget all the names, just remember Tobanis having one. What happened to Barbacon and Lonzo btw? They both had bladestorms right?

Lyynch, Gawin, Rohaise, Supa, Kobalt and one more left Fennin, when they split to druzzil. I'm pretty sure only 6 dropped on the Fennin before getting nerfed.

I have one, was originally Gawins, I think Rohaise still has his. Supa and Lyynch most likely still have theirs also. Andriana aquired someones. so theres most likely 6 or more on druzzil now, depending on how many came over from xegony and sol ro.

Alcidizaar probably had one (lustress russet on a ranger at 50, oh the memories)

there was still 1 on fennin i think mutten, but i forgot the rangers name... had an E i think... i just know the character got ebay'd and is never used.

1st nerf = no hp buffs nerf

the 2nd time mistwalker was nerfed was b/c you could rune it

3rd-6th = no buffs, insta aggro, then lost that and changed to up for 1 round, then changed something else but i forgot....

it proc'd rain of blades.... 3 wave mage lvl 49 ae. i dont think anything since then has had a proc of a spell that was lvl 49, coincidently.

i remember using AE weapons(painbringer! I always thought it was named that because it brought pain to the enchanter trying to mez shit...) Anyway, all of them were extremely gay because they'd nail your own dumb ass too.

How did the warrior not end up getting ripped to shreds when the BS procced?...

They'd equip a whole bunch of MR gear. It was a pain in the ass of course, but considering the rain of blades spell is like 800 pts of damage or something every time it procs, which was absolutely huge dps back then, it was worth it.

I've never been fortunate enough to have a Bladestorm, but I'm guessing since a rain is 4 possible hits in 3 waves, they probably would back off after the first wave so the all the remaining waves would hit the mob. I think there was a cane that procced a rain from Sebilis. Same principle.
